99% of remixes and covers never get near the original, because the original song captures a time in the life of the writer. This is a great version of a classic song, one of the best trance tunes ever in fact and that is thanks mainly to Sigur Ros who recorded the original. the best version. Finding other people's tunes and remixing them tastefully is a skill, it allows people to dance to great tunes they otherwise might not even hear. So everybody's satisfied.

I honestly don't think this song is meant for those who like Sigur Ros, but rather for those who like the trance genre. After all, Chicane is a trance artist and Sigur Ros is in a completely different genre so I can see why many prefer the original. I, however, wouldn't have known of Sigur Ros if it wasn't for Chicane and I much more prefer this version. :)

@Sondr3h i've been listening to sigur ros for many years, but in the last 2 years or so i've been listening to trance/dance, and i really like this version. it captures the upbeat and happiness of the origina, yet adds a nice beat to it. so for me, it's great.
