Frightened when you came by?? Then maybe it shouldn't have built a nest on someone's bathroom sill. .....besides what's it gonna do?....leave the eggs?
how lovely x We currently have robins nesting in our garden in the UK and its nice to see how they will evolve. They are about a week and a half old today :)
i had a robins nest in my tree an a cat was near it so i sent me rottwiller dog after it and the cat never came back but another cat killed the whole 'family'. I saw the dead birds and kicked the cat. mean but hey it deserved it
you should have put something around the tree to stop the cat climbing up. I have a nest 18 inches off the ground and found a cat sniffing the eggs so I surrounded it with chicken wire, the hatched chicks are 9 days old now and doing well.Kicking the cat was foolish, it's in their nature, thats like kicking a robin for eating worms!
That is so cool- I thought I was the only one fascinated by watching robins grow up- i had a nest behind my garage and i made a video of it- check it out. That's neat that you were able to get pics with the mom with them- it was hard for me cause the mom would fly away if it saw anyone
yea the mom used to get sooo scared of me!! but i took that picture right at the beginning when there was only 1 egg.. maybe she wasnt so protective at that stage
@jmc03mm i discovered a robin nest outside my school last friday. I've been documenting it since then. It had 4 eggs like this girl, and so far 3 have hatched. I get lots of footage of the bird at her nest because i guess she's pretty used to humans at this point with all the kids walking loudly past her. In a few weeks, once im done documenting them, im gunna make a video! Be sure to check it out! :D
thank you for sharing this cool story!
