My neighbors would be on the phone after 10 minutes of that generator firing up, complaining. I tried. I tried even offering them my extra power during the outage....they were still pssd. :(
It's actually not that loud (64dB)..though from where I'm standing it seem's so..(between 2 houses). In the house you can barely hear it. FYI..we lost power frrom Hurricane Irene (just after midnight, early August 28th) & utility power was gone for 18 hours, but we were only out for under 15 seconds, the time it took for the Generac to detect that the utility power was out, start up, & switch us over to generator power. After the utility power came back, the Generac detected it, & shut down.
