That my friend, was NOT a tornado. Apparently you have never seen one, which is OK. This is a Super Cell, which does rotate, but does not touch the ground like a Tornado does. It is what creates the tornadoes basically.

That's a supercell, you can see rotation in most of them but only a small percentage produce tornadoes.

The storm was Impressive, I don't know if you could have pulled back any more with your camera lense, but I sure would have liked to seen more of the thunderstorm, especially since it never got to form a longer funnel cloud or a tornado. They usually don't make it all the way in that port of the storm. It's not the tornadic part of the storm. Still had to be an awesome sight seeing that storm. Just wished you could have gotten more structure of the storm. Nice shot though.
