I believe every professional that respects his work as a producer or music editor will back my up ,that ableton is a professional's tool intended for serious work when logic is for people who just wanna have fun saying that they produced some music in their mac.

@peterparker969 I have used lots of software for music edit and i can tell you that Logic is a playstation game,Ableton is hugely better quility-wize and ProToolsHD is the peak.

@TheTommyKay I have Logic and Ableton but rarely touch it, because Logic sound much better and is superior in almost everything. Ableton is just quick and shit, for professional producing. For live gigs its really nice... ProTools is only superior for Mastering or some sommcercial shit music. Logic is the best for electronic quality music. I can often hear when something is produced in Ableton, cause it always sound shit..Obiously you just make shit music with your ableton but never mind

Look at Axwell, Ingrosso, Angello, Thomas Gold, Olav Basoski, Freemasons, Mark Knight, Dave Spoon and all of the best House PRODUCER use LOGIC! People who use live only for producing are little kids who make an beat in 2 min and say they are producers. All the big heavy shit comes from Logic!

I think a drum loop with a cymbal crash in it will bring out the differences more. Kick and drum with mostly closed hi-hat can be handled by all 3 pretty well.

When it comes to editing, Pro Tools is king. You could make the argument that for MIDI, Logic is king. Little by little DAWs are moving closer and closer to each other. The real question is: Who will buy out who?

@650installer It seems like that because of all the other crap that our computers have on them. Although all other programs should be quitted before running Pro Tools, they still eat up processing power due to manufacturers of certain software not programming algorithms to completely stop using the RAM (obviously it is much more detailed than my explanation). If Pro Tools Native is truly running on its own, then it only requires about 2 gigs of RAM, for HD TDM, even less.

I'm just curious, because to my knowledge Ableton Live is using a mix of Zplane Elastique Pro and proprietary algorithms, while Avid is using Izotope's Radius technology. Check the licensing. As for the video poster. I agree, why didn't you use "Rhythmic" on the drums in Logic? Personally, I have all three DAWs, but prefer the sound of Pro Tools and Live's algorithms over FlexTime.

based on this demo PT sounds the less destructive. btw : Logic is a great transient designer at 4:20 :) I'd be curious to hear these algorythms one after the other on other instruments like percussion, guitars...
