After I drag my .mov clip to the timeline, I cannot see the arrow to click on. There's no little arrow (and no "opacity" menu). I can right-click the clip, but cannot see a motion or rotate menu or function. I'm using Premiere Pro CS5 and I'm importing a .MOV shot with an iPhone 4.
I don't have Premiere Pro CS5 to test this method, anyway you can find the answer on the Adobe help page (search for "Premiere Pro CS5 rotate video" on Google)
My video is 1280 wide and 720 tall - I rotated using this method, now my video is in the middle of a 1280 wide box, and the visible part is 720x720. What should I do? Also, I am using 44100 for audio, but the preset HD720.30fps only supports 48000. How can I make the preset accept the 44100 value?
2. Open a New project with the correct preset for the video you want to output to. I mean, New project > Load preset > Adobe HDV > HDV 720p 30. This way you get a 1280x720@30fps settings.
3. import the video following my instructions
my instructions are for a Flip Rotate (i.e. set 180° rotation). You'll get a full 1280x720 output (since you started with a 1280x720 as source), but if you rotate 90° you'll get black bars.
Concerning the Audio setting, you have to use the "Custom Settings" tab when opening a New Project.
In the "Custom Settings" you'll find the "General" settings on the left side and you can change the "Audio" > "Sample Rate" on the right side to your likes (44100 Hz in your case).
You have to Export the movie going through File > Export > Movie
In the "Export Movie Settings" window that will open you can chose "General" settings > "File type" whatever you like, I mean Quicktime, Microsoft AVI.
In the "Video" setting > chose the "Compressor" of your choise, I mean what are listed in the drop down (i.e. DivX, ffdshow, Huffyuv and the like codec you have INSTALLED on your system)
after importing the video footage, putting it in the timeline, you have to go to the Effects panel, expand the Distort effects group, then select and double click the Transform effect to add it to your project.
in the Effects Control you have to expand the Transform effect just added and set the "Scale Width" parameter to -100.

You first have to :
1. use a 1280x720 source video,
2. Open a New project with the correct preset for the video you want to output to. I mean, New project > Load preset > Adobe HDV > HDV 720p 30. This way you get a 1280x720@30fps settings.

how do you mirror a video?
ProductionsPerez 11 months ago
@ProductionsPerez
after importing the video footage, putting it in the timeline, you have to go to the Effects panel, expand the Distort effects group, then select and double click the Transform effect to add it to your project.
in the Effects Control you have to expand the Transform effect just added and set the "Scale Width" parameter to -100.
This will flip (mirror) vertically the footage.
