American Eskimo howling to the phone

damn that reminds me of my dog Snowball who sadly passed away this AUG 28th @ 2:33am.

he was 17y 2mo when he passed and was the most inteligent dog i have ever known.

Oh my! My 15 year old Eskie does that too! He actually pretends to be the phone with the same pitch and rhythm. I'm contemplating to get a Bernese Mountain pup so my Eskie can help teach the lil one before he eventually pass away, but I really can't imagine not having an eskie in my life after all these years, they're simply awesome.

My my phone rings or if u ring the door bell alot my eski starts to howl. is it bad ?

@xFEATUREDx Aw, that's too bad! I don't remember how my dog got started. I know that we always had to be really quiet at first to get him going. Then lots of praise!

@babygirlall247 Aw, what an awesome dog! I love how loyal Eskies are!! My dog does the same thing. When I was little I'd always lay on the ground and he'd come up to me when I was scared of storms or by my self.

My 2 year old Eski howls randomly sometimes but only for like 3 seconds. I don't know how to encourage it. D: I want her to howl longer!

@FMLFYT Hmm... well with my dog everytime he howled I praised him lots. And he got bolder everytime. There would come a time when he would howl outside, then walk to the door and look in to make sure we were paying attention!
