No actually I need to correct myself: The relic'ed black1 John plays himself are handwoven pickups by the Fender Custom Shop, they sound very similar to the big dippers but (imo) slightly more mellow. I believe the big dippers are are actually based on those handwoven pickups in Johns own black one!

it's nice to see a demo of a John Mayer guitar without the demo-guy playing all just John mayer stuff. Because of course it'll sound like a John Mayer strat cause your playing a John Mayer song! What I want to know is, if the guitar can keep that nice sound when playing other stuff, and this video has done that quite well

Actually i was playing this model in one shop in Lithuania. It was totally CRAP. Too bad Fender sends low quality instruments to eastern europe. I hope they will stop practising this in the future. Same with gibson I;m afraid.
