This is nothing to do with gender. Humans have always killed each other and themselves and they will keep on doing it. Also, don't forget that marriage is a new concept that doesn't even exist in some cultures.
The term is 'Family Annihilators'. They feel such need for control, that if they can't give themselves or their family the perfect life, they kill them all.
Women have a tendency to 'only' kill their children.
On homicide only; I once read this article that indeed only 10% of killers/murderers are men, and that men most of the time kill somebody spontaneously or because of pure rage. Women would kill mostly kill somebody out of revenge and would plan it beforehand.
But yes, homicide-suicide (Had to look what it meant haha) is indeed very selfish, you dont have the right to commit suicide and involve somebody else with it by killing him/her
When it comes to parents murdering their children, women outnumber men 7 to 1. Women are excused as being depressed or emotionally troubled, whereas men are simply described as monsters or control freaks.
More women attempt suicide than men, but more men succeed.
Men often feel powerless because the government and the law sides with women.
If a woman becomes pregnant, the man has no say in the matter. Even if he doesn't have the means to support a child, the woman decides his fate.
In cases of divorce, she gets the kids, the government cheques and child support.
The man gets prison if he can't pay.
Over a billion abortions around the world since the 1970s. Rare extreme cases are used to justify abortion, but the overall reasons are for mere convenience. For example, the pregnancy would interfere with job or vacation plans. Too young to ruin figure. Financial reasons are also given, even when her standard of living is way above the norm.
I was also thinking if suicide can be a rational decision for some people, and i am not just talking about cases involving those with terminal disease.
I would go out, only if it wasn't so cold. I am not much of a going out person, i am not much of a person with a life come to think about it. Have fun wherever you are going.

My theory , i am totally clueless, is that those men who killed their family believe that if he isn't there , no one could be "taking care" of his wife and his kids. He failed to realize that his family members are not his property, but individual human beings.
Perhaps women in this society just have a smarter or different philosophy than men.
I've heard of women (like 2) who killed a few people before killing themselves, but it never with their family. Obviously the person feels that people owe a sacrificial debt (either the victom has commited some kind of wrong, caused guilt, or the death of the victom other wise 'releases' guilt).
Kids in mind? ... I have heard of mothers murdering their kids &/ husbands .. but they never suicide after this..

Agression is a product of testosterone.
Women kill in different ways but they kill just as much as men.
Women may poison people more or get men to fight and kill each other out of jealousy, greed etc.
Women get just as angry as men do and
want to see people hurt just as much as men do, we just go about accomplishing
it in different ways. Women are dangerous.
