I went to see Delbert with one of my best friends because he loved Delbert. Delbert did this song as his encore. Before the song started, my friend said "let's get to the car and clear out before the crowd hits the parking lot." Sure enough, he was still waiting for me when I finally got to the car after Delbert finished this song.
Had this song been released 4 years earlier in 1977 it would definately had been ranked way higher than #60. Somehow people just dont get it. They just dont get it appreciating great Music History Message Soul masterpieces like Dancin Man by Q and this song by Delbert McClinton with Bonnie Bramlett. Then again people were stupid with what was Top Music Billboard taste 1965 to 1985.
@DaveWollenberg One of the biggest crimes in Music Billboard History ranking it #60. Better than most of the garbage at the time of it's release in 1981.

I like this version better. Thanks for uploading BubbaModee, it brought back memories of teenage years of the 80's.
