  • This one is fucking killer. Also what's with the pointless "NIN and Ministry suck now" comments just listen to the fucking song and enjoy it.

  • trent reznor from nin singing

  • This has got Ministry scrawled all over it in beer piss and dry blood

  • I just like the fucking song.

  • @hehfilms yeah, what's up with people saying this? I OWN a copy of this album, and I ALWAYS heard this particular version, in clubs, at parties- it's clearly Al Jourgenson. It wasn't until almost ten years AFTER this thing came out that I heard of the "Trent Reznor vocal version"...and if one were to listen to both-the difference is strikingly apparent.

  • Only 52,000 views? Kids don´t know what they are missing.

  • THIS IS NOT BLACK SABBATH!!!!

  • @BlackSabbathMaxilos No shit, it´s from their tribute album

  • Makes daddy want to kill somebody, I love it!

  • @guitarbassplayer68 You've obviously not actually looked at trent recently. He looks like a UFC fighter. You also have NO concept of different styles of music. Just shut the fuck up.

  • whoops he was in PailHead

  • super band Spicer on drums!

  • It's Trent... btw.. I used to hang with those folks back in the day... Austin & Chicago.. Those were the days. They shared everything and sang everything and then chared it again.

  • People, people, people. Shut the fuck up and let me enjoy the music. Christ in all that's holy.

  • i dont care what anyone says this is good so is black sabbath

  • you should see wikipedia on this

who sang and performed on this

    trent

    al

    jello biafra?

  • Al Jourgensen did the vovals on this version... Trent did a later version... i was at Lollapalooza when he first covered this...1992

  • okokokokok

  • go trent go ;)

  • okokokok

  • this is Al

  • true

  • @hakiblak shut up you nazi bitch. Go back to listening to polka you third reich sack of shit. USA kicked your ass, and that's why you speak english mother fucker

  • Cool cover. Don't like the name (I don't know if "homo" bothers me in its non Sabbath connotations as "DJs" does, but whatever), but its another good song from the worthy N.I.B. project. Why didn't Al just go with Revolting Cocks... or better yet, Ministry

  • Yep, this is the Al version! This is the version that's been engraved on my limbic system for the past 20 years. Al and T-Rez have two different ways of screaming, and this one gotta be Al. Bootleg version, which I dinna hear until way later, sounds almost identical at first, until the scream of "Supernaut!" & then you go "o hai Trent".

But (I mean this in the fondest possible way) if so many of us can't agree about the vox, goes to show how incestuous that whole scene's sound was! <3 Love it.

  • @ZoraHalo ayup. just look at sp using al on rabies and crediting "alien" jourgensen. :p still a great song and good times though.

  • gunns sent me, and i didn't vag out !

  • Did anybody ever think that the vox rumors might have been an urban legend started by the both of them?

Kinda weird that 20 years later after being the big two in their genre in 1991 that Al's career fizzled in the late 90s & decided to extend his career with 4CDs of Bushbashing and Trent is still very relevant as of 2011.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of both, but there's no telling what Al could have done if he stayed off the junk and didn't burn so many bridges.

  • This is Trent voice. The one who says the opposite never heard his fuckin' good voice!

  • I love this song more than the original. I don't often say that, but this one just has some kind of hypnotic magic.

  • How dare them fuck this song up

  • The original has kind of a groovy edge to it. This doesn't.

  • Bullshit.

  • This is Al. No doubt in my part. Listen carefully to both versions and you'll get there. I miss the old days where artists were proud fuckers and pulled these kind of stunts...

  • Fuck the USA, got to eyeRaque and dire for the reich, twats.

  • i rock out every time i hear this fukn song!!! SUPERNAUT!!

  • 2 dislikes.>>> lady gaga and justin beiber

  • what the shit ppl, this arguement has been going on for years now lmao.....

who gives a damn _..!.. (-_-) ..!.._ just listen and rock on!

  • that tribute album is pretty good this is the best track

  • i know this much Ive listened to almost everything ministry ever did (even tried "With sympathy" *shudder*) and never heard Al make the sounds you hear at around 6:10 but i know trent has done that .... alot ..

  • @MrZifnab369 Yes. That's definitely trent at 6:10, but the main vocal is Al. The other version is totally Trent, though.

  • wow. i fuc35in love youtube! ya dirty fuc@as! supernaut!!

  • wow. i fuc35in love youtube! ya dirty fuc@as!

  • Anyone that believes this is anything other than Reznor vocals has not heard Reznor vocals.

  • @squallmuzza This isn't the one Trent sings on, though. Trent sings on the version that doesn't have a ridiculous accent. Trent's voice is still in the background shouts at 5:48 though. Everything else is Al Jourgensen and his fake british accent. Compare both versions and how he sings "Naut" and you'll see. The only thing Al altered was his chemical bloodstream.

  • homo lol

  • you can still tell it's Trent ... heh heh heh....

  • One of the view covers that the real Black Sabbath have actually praised.

  • Its on the first CD of the Sabbath tribute "Nativity in Black" which came in 2 seperate releases... Other bands featured making Sabbath-covers include(among others): Sepultura, Pantera, Megadeth, Type O Negative, Bruce Dickinson and Biohazard...

I own them both and they are highly enjoyable...

  • @Nekrotik666 The first tribute album is excellent, one of my all-time favorite albums. I've only heard a few of the songs off the second trubute album. Godsmack did a great job with "Sweet Leaf," and putting Ozzy on vocals with Primus for "N.I.B." was great becuase I don't know how metal it would have sounded if Les sang it! LOL I didn't like SOAD's version of "Snowblind" though. I just didn't think it sounded like the original song, at all.

  • This aint Reznors Version people. This is Ministry basically. Reznors version is good...but this one is better produced and the vocals are better. I just watched a thing with Trent saying how he was hanging out in the studio when they were working on this and Al asked trent if he wanted to sing it. He said "Fuck yeah". Thats where that version comes from.

  • man this song gets me pumped, just wanna bang my head and party!

  • One of the best covers of any song ever.....and the song covered just happens to be one of the best songs ever.....so its a match made in ROCK heaven!!

  • who cares who it is?

  • The version with "trent" is floating around, it's on a couple of NIN bootlegs and is essentially the same sounding.

  • It sounds like Al's vocals over Trent's, you can so hear Trent's voice at 2:37-2:43

  • reznor!!!!! omg!!

  • i can't seem to find any working upload that says trent sang on it but one, it sounds like trent to me

  • I can't really tell a difference between the singers on the different versions. On this one the vocals are just a little less angry. I'm thinking it's definitely Trent on both versions. :D

  • @MrNorringtonmyiPOD it iss but TVT the label where trent was at didnt want him to be on the song so al distorted the vocals a bit so it sounded more like his and a few years back the original with trent is released

  • @MrNorringtonmyiPOD

I'm not sure this is Trent ... to be sure one would have to listen to both Al (such as on Stigmata) and Trent and then try to determine.

I think Al's voice growls more and doesn't hit the high notes the same way Trent's does. I think this is Al singing... When Trent sings Supernaut, it sounds like his nuts are being squeezed in a vice.

I like this version much better than the undisputed Reznor version. Its one of the few songs from Reznor I don't like.

  • @nightowl8936 Its always been Trent on the vocals. Al just changed it because they didn't like Trents voice. You find the orginal sound on Ministrys Side TRax Album.

  • @ollieroks

Listen to this Reznor version ... "Revolting Cocks with TR - Supernaut (Live The Ritz, NY 08.09 "

I think that Reznor sings higher and that this is NOT him or any edited version of him.

Listen also to Stigmata by Ministry and see how that voice sounds with its gravelly gruff sound ... to me it sounds like the undistorted version of the person singing the Supernaut thats playing here.

  • @nightowl8936 When this came out it was recorded during Ministrys "The mind is a terrible taste." I use to have the order form from Wax Trax. It had his name on it but on the vinal they all use different names. The live boot legs are Trent or Al but, the actual clear Recordings are Trent.

  • can someone please upload "Hey Asshole" from the same album?

  • lol people are still debating who sings this song?

  • @demonz420 yep

  • Comment removed

  • no Trent.

  • Nativity in Black A Tribute to Black Sabbath.

  • @AussieTheOztralian awsome tribute cd!

  • @demonz420 indeed cant get enough of it

  • faaaaaail

  • The story goes--as I remember--that Trent Reznor did the vocals on this track, but his label at the time, TVT Records, didn't want him doing any work outside of his contract with them. Jourgensen altered Trent's vocals to make it sound more like his voice, and lied to TVT so they would back off.

  • @socialbenthos This isn't actually the Trent version - I've heard both, and they're extremely similar, but this is the Jourgensen version.

  • @socialbenthos I had this when it first came out it was Trent all the way this a different version

  • @socialbenthos - always heard it was tre-rez, never new the story, i only really give thumbs up im eating or my lungs are full but this deserves not only a digital thumbs up but a reply. wax trax for life

  • @socialbenthos that was a bullshit story though because both versions are clearly two different vocal takes. one of them even has al's fake british accent for chrisakes. i even asked al about this and he's also stated as much in interviews. trent's voice is still heard in the background like at 5:48 but the main vox on this track is all al. the black box wax trax set and the side trax versions however, are trent.

  • @socialbenthos cool. i just liked it no matter who (but i knew trent sang it, i mean come on.) did it.

  • @socialbenthos That just makes me respect Alain all the more!

  • Music All Jourgensen...,Vocal Trent Reznor......

  • not trent. . . .al jourgensen.

  • definitely trents vocals lowered in pitch just enough..... at some points it sounds like both of them together or back and forth between the 2. some of those vocals are definitely trent though...
