Good solid Ben Selvin arrangement w/Harold "Scrappy" Lambert singing. with Benny Goodman on Clarinet, Manny (Mendel) Klein on Trumpet, Venuti on Violin, Arthur Schutt on Piano. Great Record.

I mentioned in my comment to J's Polish version that this was the first song of the period which I got familiar with. I heard it almost accidentally when I was a child and then never heard it for years but always remembered it. Of course, I love it.

Yes, J is Jurek. I just put it in my my favorites, so go there and click on it. It's titled "Leo Monosson in Warsaw". Have fun, it's a beautiful version.

Yes, YOU are driving me crazy! Every night I get tears of nostalgia in my eyes when I hear these songs. Nice version: lively and gentle at the same time.
