  • Good job fudging the Alexa rank.

  • What a cute little clip, great job Guy!

  • It's like Yahoo 1995 !

  • Brilliant Idea - go GUY!

    ;)

  • I'm a bit surprised that beer is filed under "interests" and not "living" (like food & wine)

  • Not only is this very informative, it's really cute and fun.

  • Really like the circle back to "magazine rack" and the RSS comment. Good tagline, "aggregation without aggravation." Simple and clean design of video, cute without being cutesy and keeps moving.

  • 'cute without being cutesy' certainly sums up our idea for the music nicely.

  • nicely done - the script is clear and the video screen shots makes it simple to understand the value of Alltop. My fav?

"If you don't know what RSS is, don't worry, you'll NEVER need to know now."

    Wow.

  • They actually aren't screenshots! Every image in the video was shot with one of two Canon D5s. Lots of photos taken...

  • great tutorial and introduction of the comment. stop motion really creates a 'personality' for alltop that fits with the font and color scheme. gotta love, though, that the polaroids of guy take about 4X as long on screen as the other examples (law, travel, etc.)... i kid, i kid...

  • The 'Guy posing for his close up' moment with the Polaroids wasn't so much to flatter his ego but merely to fit in the whole animation of that sequence. I tried shortening it up, but it didn't look as nice.

    Although we do love Guy!

  • very informative video Guy, it is very well done, easy to understand and explains the alltop concept very well.

  • Very nice. Who did the voice over?

  • Electric Pulp did a great job on the redesign. Definately one of the more entertaining tutorials I have seen.

  • This is a very well done video tutorial which really explains the AllTop concept. Whoever did this did an excellent job!

  • Very nice stop motion. Like the tagline very much. Overall, it's an entertaining piece of infotainment.

  • Gotta love the stop-motion animation -- almost as much as the topic!

  • This video is great. Have been trying to find the embedded to promote Alltop. The mp4 version did not work out for me

    Finally!

Wondering still lots of services don't make video easily embeddable. This is almost free advertisement on Blogosphere.

BTW, love Guy's Tertiyaki sauce video too! is it on YouTube yet?

  • Cool! Love it!! Look for us on Alltop travel!!

  • I love the video, great production and good information! :) I loved the shots of guy coming out of the polaroid! :)

  • I love the fact that Alltop has such a diverse and eclectic collection of subjects that it aggregates content about. Even as the site expands its focus it is getting even simpler to use. Great video too!

  • love it! love it! love it! love it! Great video Guy!

  • I'm a big Alltop fan and shared this video with friends yesterday. Now they get it. RSS comment is priceless.

  • I love this video. Definitely a great example for aspiring videographers too - it tells the story in a very engaging way. :-)

  • Love the tagline "aggregation without aggravation". Great stuff. I'd tag it with few more of the popular topics on alltop to bring those folks in. Ahem (cough) military.

  • I love it, what attention to detail. The Mahjong scene looks like it would have taken forever.

The site is just as great!

  • It did!

  • Take forever to shoot the Mahjong sequnece, that is...

  • the search results page of alltop is too verbose and too dull to be helpful to make a choice.

  • Great video for a great "starter" site. Money line - "No need to know RSS" I love Alltop 2.0!

  • This is an interesting video promotion for Alltop. I particularly like the magazine analogy for defining what Alltop is. I did get a little lost when things like Mahjong were shown, because I wasn't sure how it related to Alltop (unless it was simply meant to illustrate that you can find ANYTHING at Alltop). I really enjoyed the stop-photography style animation, and was sad when I didn't see a cameo by Gumby!
