I have two questions though. what is so scary about two beginning scenes, the head he found in the dirt and the clock? second question. i watched the movie several times now and i have read the book and i still dont understand what is the point of the beginning of the movie/book? the scene where he is in Iraq? The demon just said the word "devil". And in the book, when Karras confronted it about that, it confessed that it lied about that/ And it sure is possible because this is based on a true story, about a boy in the '40s who really was possessed. William Peter Blatty said so himself, and I saw a documentary on the boy.

I don't find this scary at all. This if anything, is the most disturbing movie of all time. A million painful deaths all in one film wouldn't be able to stand against a movie like this. It was a literal "leap of faith," as he took it onto himself and chose his own death over it harming anyone else and causing more havoc.

I don't find this scary at all. This if anything, is the most disturbing movie of all time. A million painful deaths all in one film wouldn't be able to stand against a movie like this. This one just wrecks your state of mind with all of the disturbing stuff that goes on. Not scary, but definitely the most messed up movie i've ever seen. :)
