  • Hey Jersey Boy, I might be just a fan, but TI Amo, Jersey Boy.

  • in which album can I find the studio version of this song? thanks

  • @vmars87 It was never on a studio album, he dropped it from 'Darkness On The Edge of Town' and it did not even make it to the extensive 'Tracks' albums.

  • @AaronPearceJr oh..what a pity :( tnx anyway!

  • @AaronPearceJr

This is on Tracks. It's on the first CD track 13.

  • @AaronPearceJr its on the tracks boxset: disc 1 track 13

  • @AaronPearceJr it is on Tracks, not the live version but, the song is there-hope this may help someone.

  • @AaronPearceJr It made it onto Tracks (Disc 1).

  • @AaronPearceJr @vmars87 Sorry to break it to you APJ but Iceman was on the Disc 1 of Tracks. The studio version is MUCH better than this live version. I wish he'd play it more often. Great song.

  • wow no offense to bruce but this version sucks!

  • amazing song .

  • wish I could hear him do this in concert, love this song!

  • cool as usual.....

  • iceman ...warm heart!

  • This song kinda sounds like a follow-up to Meeting across the river to me musically.

  • The studio version had the same hymnal quality as 'Racing In The Streets' and 'The Promise'.

  • Almost reminds me of Meeting Across the River... great song

  • Great!

  • You never see an old man eating a Twix.

  • I heard this song for the first time when i got the 4cdalbum ¨Tracks¨ for my birthday from my girlfriend some years ago, but i loved it at once... It's a beautiful song... The piano creates the special effect... I like the live version even better..

  • This is one of Bruce's least recognized songs... While it is so unbelievably great.

I love how Bruce changed the rhythmical structure of this song... The originally recorded Iceman had a different, more stable stress. But this version gives it another emotional touch to it, the way I hear this.

  • He had to change it...he cant hold those notes anymore so he had to improvise!

this was at the old Tower Theatre in Pennsylvania.

I caught half the show..felt like I did not miss that much..a few good ones...but I could have done without this one. I hate when he starts singing with that Bob Dylan fake affect...like he has a piece of sour patch candy in his mouth!

  • I didn't particularly like this version of the song, indeed... But the original version should never have been excluded from any album. (Although this song and Badlands (I think it is) are mutually exclusive, since they share a lot of lyrical similarities. He had to exclude one of the two.)

  • At least it was release. Tracts 98 was an enjoyable and refreshing CD.& a reminder of the beauty & brilliance of his songwriting!

I cant imagine just how many songs he has written that we have not heard & thought it was not good enough in his obsessive & perfectionist mind!

Did you catch any of the Spectrum shows?

Bruce was in a great state of mind & really nailed the performances!

I was very emotional during the Reunion Tour shows but more so this time around!

I wanted to relive the past!

  • liked this song since In the land of women!

  • Love this song, thank you for posting!

  • Dear AP - THX for the post... Been listening to the Boss for 30 years and never heard this one before. Saved it as #172 on my second 200 song Boss Playlist! Keep the faith... ~S~
