  • "I'm the problem and I'm the solution".. this is the basic understanding that let us love ourselves unconditionally. Ego divides us in can/can't, is/isn't. One should say "Wait, I am ONE"

  • I really appreciate the effort it takes these videos...I know, so thanks

  • this is so damn good!

  • Bless you! You really have the gift to eloquently and simply explain what is usually overlooked.

    Than you, Steve!

  • @Pebble11 Thank you Pebble.

  • This is Providence. This is great. You are so right. Thank you.

  • Thank you for your support.

  • Yes, Thank You for Your Existence. Posted Your videos on my site. Very Valuable. Peace, Love, Understanding.

  • great wisdom thank you

  • Your welcome.

  • You are so right and, once again, you are showing me that you are great at helping others and I am finally ready to make a change and to be myelf all the time and to think about myself more. I have to learn to listen to myself more and I have to continue to take one step at the time!

Thank you for helping and thank you for being YOU!

  • Thank you for your uplifting comment. Remember to go easy on yourself & others. Consistency trumps overnight transformations. The tortoise wins the race. Inch by inch everything's a cinch; yard by yard everything's hard.

  • wohoo! motivator #1!!! thx

  • THANK YOU

  • check out my financial favorites. change is coming.

  • Change begins with the man in the mirror.

  • so, perhaps (and just perhaps) we get what we give out in a sense.. your username suggests that you are innately curious, no? are you personally identified with these experiences of alienation? are you identified with your ocd? these can also be traps that get us focused on "stuckness". steve's right, fresno or l.a., ur state of mind will be reflected back at u, no matter where you physically put urself. i'm rooting for you colleen, hang in there!

  • Great advice! I'm interested in hearing Colleen's response. Gretchen perhaps you can post a video response someday.

  • Hi, Gretchen--

I started to write out a response to you, but I think that I would do better making a video response to you. I have so much to say about what you have mentioned that I don't think writing it out would do it justice. Of course, I also want to respond to Steve, so I may have to make a part one and part two :).

One thing I will say is that I'm trying to change my frame of mind when dealing with others--not take so much offense at what others say. More in video...:)

  • luv4learning, ur vid was packed with sincerity! in steve's "stop calling us guys", he talks about turning the mirror on ourselves to promote self growth. you say that people are trying to convert or change you, however, you also say that your bumper stickers and value systems are meant to try to get others to change their views.. people may be feeling provoked by your courageous individualism and therefore they are provoked (by fear probably) to change ur viewpoints. more...

  • nice, can't wait for part two.

  • Coming soon to a theater near you.

  • I look forward to part two.

  • T.Y. Mary. I look forward to your pt 2 comment. I appreciate your support!

  • Excellent. About your "tire angel" -- I once ran into an "alternator angel" ---- the alternator light went on as I was driving in the middle of Kansas on a Sunday --- I pulled off into this tiny little town, everything was closed, but to my surprise a garage was open with a mechanic. He was thrilled with my predicament because he built race cars and loved challenges --- rather than order a new alternator, he took mine apart and fixed it and didn't charge me! What you're teaching is true.

  • Ben, thank you! Stories like yours abound. We only experience these 'angels' when we step into the void of the unknown.

  • I await Part Two :).

May I ask you about your experiences and opinons of Los Angeles?

    ~Colleen

  • Pros: hiking, beaches, mountains, unique people, shopping, restaurants, job opp, multi-cultural, great weekend getaways, & offers anything you want. Cons: expensive, crowded, crime, traffic, superficiality, sprawling, smog, fast-pace, & one big concrete jungle.

I prefer S.F. Or why not do volunteer work in another country where they pay your expenses? There are so many options once you overcome fear and transform the impossible to the possible. Doors open for risk-takers.

  • Thank you so much, Steve! :)

I truly feel that moving to LA is the right thing for me. From within my gut, it seems right. It is scary to think about everything that I need to do in order to make this a reality, but it's something that I want to do. I have been investigating the costs associated with it and making a little budget based on what I have found. I have also been applying for jobs in this area, and talking with people who might know more. I'm excited, but nervous... :)

    ~Colleen

  • Scary... perhaps. But things always seem to work out in the end. When we embrace failure, discomfort, insecurity, death, & the unknown life becomes less scary. The universe rewards those who follow their heart. I've made moves to different states, countries, & vagabonded around the world. Taking risks shows you things are always much worse in our mind vs reality. Be careful not to get bogged down in over planning & thinking about things. Courage comes afterward not before. Just do it!

  • Steve,

I do plan far too much mostly because I have others saying to me "What if this happens..." and because I want things to be "perfect" (whatever that really means). Of course, I also have been getting the message from these same people to just do it, too. It truly does feel freeing to "just do it" :)

    ~Colleen

  • Exactly

  • i've always wanted to do the long distance bike trip. this summer might be the right time... excellent video, brimming with tons of info.
