  • Man...This Take me back to my high school days! I was like one o five black kids who liked them in my hood! lol\

  • frankie without frankie,I do not understand?

  • Holly is OK for the ears but my eyes DEFINITELY prefer Ryan. Nothing beats a hottie in guyliner!

  • Well HIV is not a deadly disease anymore. But he dont dance like he use to...But welcome back Frankie...

  • awesome bass, awesome vocals, awesome rendition of a classic

  • Good One! =))

  • thanks a lot and good night too

  • Mark O'Toole can play 1 mean bass...

  • shooting star never stop

  • thats base

  • one the the greatest baas lines in a song ever!!

  • i rather ave holly sining this song.

  • I sell my powers by the hour $& you really can't afford it, the war is on

  • this song is so awesome

  • hear that bass line man!!!!!

  • this song is amazing. they just dont make em like this anymore, much better than todays shite!

  • It's not Holly

  • Still mesmerized everytime I play this .... and if you don't get goosebumps when the bass comes in at 1:58, 5:37, and 6:58... well then I feel sorry for you ...

  • Ah 1984, what a good year

  • me encanta ese sonido del bajo que nopta le da mucho sabor a eso

  • I'm 63 and THIS is my kind of ROCK...

  • Wow, what a voice. I did not even know it wasn't Holly at first.

  • has this been steve howe on guitar... can't believe it, what a combination... fgth and yes!

  • This is what I mean !!! Very nice.

  • it's dosn't look like holly johnson who's singing - or is it just me ?

  • @venusdenmark73 You're right, this is not Holly. This is an odd remake/reunion of FGTH with a new guy in Holly's spot, but with the rest of the band. Odd.... but there's plenty of original Frankie footage on YouTube and Holly Johnson solo stuff too, thankfully!

  • @TheStefka123 I have to admit... Ryan Molloy does a great awesome job with the vocals! I am a bit confused though... isn't the bald guy singing next to him, Holly? Kinda looks like him.

  • @TheStefka123 dude all the original band members are there expect holly the guy singing is ryan molloy

  • @stocktonmiller110 Er, yeah 'dude'. I already know that. Read my original comment about it being the rest of the band w/out Holly Johnson....

  • Frankie says: GO FUCK KIDS UP THE BUTT!!!

  • Namaste! This EPIC Song and Performance is an AWESOME Journey.

    THANX for sharing ENERGY!!!

  • So weird that Trev Fairlighted the bass on most recording when O'Toole plainly ROCKED.

He inspired me to take the bass up, Peter Hook kept me at it.

    Bass in your face.

  • I'll never get tired of this video

  • BASS!!!

  • Who is this singing?

  • @sledge250672 Ryan Molloy

  • you just dont here music like this anymore

  • Shooting Stars Never Stop! Even When They Reach The Top.... Come back for one more gig please Johnson, Gill, Nash, Rutherford ,O'Toole... you are sorely missed.

  • the bass is great in this song

  • Every song on this CD is fantastic

  • @DiCam3667 My thoughts exactly!

  • Am bummed it's not Holly. He has such an AMAZING voice!!!

  • Great song....fun to see Steve Howe from Yes, Asia etc.etc. on guitar (sitting...)

  • good

  • Funky Tears!!! =')))

  • @audesemusic Oh, and then some!!! G.

  • FGTH about 20 years too early. Never got over in U.S. because they were openly gay. Career suicide in the 80s; an asset today, look at Lady Gaga....and OMG, that's Steve Howe playing slide guitar LOL awesome. The English really know how to do reunions.

  • Probably one of the greatest songs ever.

  • ¡Awesome!

  • Who is that with the shades on? in my opinion hes doing a great job and it sounds quite like original...

  • @bluewolfe96 : i quote you at 100%... Sure, Holly Johnson is a "must", but this singer recreates the "80ies style" very well...

  • Ryan Molloy was 8 yrs old when FGTH originally recorded pleasuredome

  • omg this is a hand over - brilliant - ok now lets get on with th facts fellas,, pretyy songs aint gonna do it... focus people :)

  • top band top sound what nothing more to say come back the 80s nice upload

  • I HEARD THIS IN THE BUSINESS WITH DANNY DYER!

  • LOL Welcome to the Cabaret!

  • As a kid i lstened to this(the album version) over and over again..i slowed it down and sped it up to work out all the parts..the bass line had me in awe! I listened again the other night..its an understated miracle and masterpeice..great Mark o toole you still play it brilliant and Live.. Wicked!

  • Fake shit

  • I'm guessing this is from the 2004 Trever Horn Wembly gig? Fantastic stuff, always been my fav frankie song, and this version is amazing. You can never replace Holly's style, but this guy has got one hell of a voice. Is it right that Holly aside all the original band members are in there somewhere? Well except the Leatherpettes of course - anyone know what the girls are up to these days?!

  • Great stuff. but the singer sounds like Bart Simpson not HJ!! It's a pity. Holly was such a showman. Bring them all back together I say!

  • Holly has been ill a long time ...

  • @oneMintyMinx Holly is doing very well.

  • @oneMintyMinx Holly is doing very well.

  • Love Frankie Holly is so great as are the rest <3 and he's battled so long

  • is he a front man for a jovi trib band

  • i hate to say it, but after watching the clip atleast 50 times, I have to admit, that this

Ryan Molloy beats Holly hands down, sorry, but it is a matter of fact. Why can`t they start touring?

  • Unbelievable with the kind of managers they consort with. FGH would be outsold

in Europe weeks before they would announce concerts. They are kind of fatal attraction here and could fill stadiums. Among yuppis it still is the hottest band around. I wouldn`t mind to fly anywhere to see them live.

Stupid managers! Maybe I should do something about it. What a waste!!!!

  • The singer is Ryan Molloy I think..........

  • who ist that singer ? not holly johnson !

  • outstanding!

  • outstanding!

  • outstanding!

  • well if they are capable of putting on a show like that why the hell dont they tour. I'd be happy to spend my hard earned cash to see them. You still got it boys....and some!

  • All I can say is thank the maker that they did the album version in all its glory and not the short cut we used to get on radio and MTV! I used to slap on the headphones and crank it up just for that orgasmic "Yeeeaaaah!" toward the end. Hmm, come to think of it, I still do!

  • its one of the best basslines ever

  • Great bass playing, whi is the bassist?

  • THEY were so amazing up there with Depeche, SUpertramp, Simple Minds, U2

  • I'm the 1000000th to say it, but WHAT A BASSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!! Thanx man, whose name I don't remember (I still have the vinyl, will get it one of these days)... FUCK !!!! SO good.....

  • Cool. If this was an audio only clip you could almost believe it WAS Holly. They should toured with this guy for the 25th ani. Maybe they did? Whatever, FGTH were (with a little help of course from Trevor Horn) fucking amazing. Wish id been around for when they were big..

  • Holly had a cool voice, but there is no way he could do this song live like this. Ryan Malloy was perfect for this.

  • Gut, einfach nur gut!

  • I love the bit at 09:34 when they open up full throttle; "YEEAAAHHH!"

  • were to buy this dvd ? it's not avaible in the netherlands :( AND I WANT IT

  • @froz0 psst het is idd moeilijk, dus nieuwsgroepen zijn je vriend! Zoek op "Slaves To The Rhythm"...

  • No holly, no nash??? Wank!

  • Ryan Molloy is the singer here and he is staring in Jersey Boys in the west end

  • those who saw this concert are lucky, and had seen a masterpiece!

  • I'm the owner of the cherry red Yamaha Image Deluxe guitar in this video (stage left) - it belonged to Vin O'Toole, brother of Mark, who I work with. Fancy dan eh!

  • @anewtron You know from the comments what we all think of Mark's playing and Nasher's and all the O'Toole clan's. Can you ask them all to put some of their music up here on YouTube so we can all enjoy it? Please? They need a CHANNEL up here!

  • @vwtch I think Mark'd be a bit scared of whoever said they wanted to smell him to be honest, but it won't hurt to pass on the message!

  • @anewtron "smell him"?

  • just love it, and the base line...........great

  • ~♥~♥•♫•*¨*•♫*♥*♫•*¨*•♫•♥♥♥•♫•*¨*•♫*♥*♫•*¨*•♫•♥

  • Yep, the 'fat guy waving his arms around' is indeed Paul Rutherford, the original dancer in the group with the moustache.

  • yeah always loved this song he´s best

  • Well that was a blast, got to be said great voice, backing singers powerfull.

and the band tighter than a gnats chuff.

    With steve howe i noticed.

Mark wheres ya wal ? great playing, keep going you are inspiration.

  • wtch, well, you're a nice friendly person - you must be a real gas. Or you're actually that fat guy up on stage. To everyone else, apologies for the multiple posts - my browser kept hanging so I wasn't sure the comments got through.

  • Who's the geezer in the jacket waving his arms and belly around? Not the original backing singer with the grand moustache, surely - not the same moves at all. This fat guy is painful to watch, though he seems to be having fun.

  • @dougfinn2 Three identical submissions. How's that workin' for ya? It's painful to watch you struggling with the comment process. I don't see anybody else struggling to understand how to make comments here at YouTube like you are. Maybe you could try a little harder to get the hang of it. Or even go ahead and delete the duplicates.

  • Some other guys sings this song on youtube and it sucks, this guy is a close second to Holly!

  • I love it !!! excellent work of Trevor Horne. Not a single member of F.G.T.H. on stage.

  • @kaptainkruciform

Sorry there `kaptain, but you're wrong. There's a DVD documentary video out concerning this concert and it highlights several of the original band members holding auditions to find a lead singer close to Holly's voice. There are in fact additional band members playing this production, but all of the original band members are on stage during this performance.

  • @kaptainkruciform I see Mark O'Toole, Jed O'Toole, Paul Rutherford, and Peter Gill up there. OK, so Holly Johnson is not up there, and neither is Jed's replacement, his cousin Brian Nash, but I think it's a rather faithful representation of Frankie up there. And the music in all of the group's performances at the Prince's Trust is, as one would expect from these fellows, DAMN good. The comments from everyone here confirm that.

  • @ hold on a sec, I think its BRILLIANT, I just didnt rec the guys !!! I believe Mr Trevor Horne took all credit fot FGTH and there was a court case over royayties ! ????????????? Huuuuuuu H aaaaaaaaaaaa !!

  • Awesome voice..!!

  • very hot...always the sexest in a rabbit jacket and heels, or a flower print dress, stockings,

  • The backing vocals THEY ROCK

  • i think franky is gay

  • @phillybrother Really?

  • @phillybrother Did you figure that out all by yourself?

  • @phillybrother no really ?

  • this is a reeaally good performance

  • omg never ever a notch on holly

  • Supernova!

  • that singer is an exellent replacement, well done lads

  • excelenteeeeeeeeeee. Muy buen reemplazo Ryan Molly de Holy Johnson .... pero igual no es el, Holly es la esencia de Frankie, pero igual muy buena version le doy un 8 de puntaje.

  • such a shame they were cut down way to soon! they were the best in the early '80 , fresh and shocking and they influenced so many people. thumbs up if you agree!

  • @freeqeemethefirst pierdol sie baranie

  • Excellent!!!

  • Mark O'Toole's bass is just incomparable. Thanks, man.

  • Voll fett!

  • who's the good looking milf with the silver glittering jacket?

  • @3DPeter

    My mum

  • LOVE the singer's vibrato. AWESOME.

  • @ANeonGenesis

it would be great when he didn't use it al the time.

  • Is that Paul Rutherford? A backup signer?:)

Jesus...what a pity...they should've been Pink Floyd of the today.

Anyone knows what's going on with Holly? I remember some 10 years ago...there was a news that he got aids?

  • @sasha64 From what I've heard he doesn't want to be in the public eye anymore, I believe he is HIV+ but I don't think he has AIDS

  • @sasha64

definitely the pink floyd of the today, these guys and of course Trevor bring so much to the music of today, without them the dance music and electronic music will not be what they are...

Also with the help of Art of Noise and Propaganda, two others childs of Trevor.

    Big Respect !!!

  • @sasha64 No, hes perfectly fine, he has done 4 new videos for the song relax and performed a few of his hits recently, he looks almost the same and man he can sing just as good, youtube his name you'll see him, cheers.

  • choooon fat ridddim!!!

  • ...between 'THOSE' soooooooo seXXXi Aviator mirrored glasses AND 'of courrrrse' THAT bassline lets just say 'I gotta go change my panties' by end of the song, haha. So glad not into little skinny guys or would be in 'real' trouble, haha.

  • @thatCanadiangrrrl - LOL - I totally agree with you...... however, in this case, I'd no doubt make an exception to the little skinny guy rule. Have you checked him out in the Relax video from the same show? OMG....

  • great group great song....lets not get sexual preferance into the music

  • @singledad1967 agreed. but my brother is gay, honestly, and if he puts from the rough it's going to open a can of worms!!

  • I think the first chap is the guy who back in the day had an enormous 'tache and mainly did dancing and backing vocals. Not sure of his name. I think the singer does a pretty good Holly Johnson impression - he's got that slightly nasal quality. Rockin' bass.

  • As far as I understand, the black-haired singer is Ryan Molloy (?), and even though we all would prefer to see Holly Johnson, he does have a fine voice and does a great job.

But, who's the first guy? Who doesn't really have that much of a singer's voice?

  • ...the singer sucks...oh my good what a shame....

  • this singer is better dan frankie, great song

  • The album that this came off was truly fuckin amazing. One of the best albums of the 80`s

  • This is so gay!

  • @llothar68 irony....

  • This is SO AMAZING!!! I would have given ANYTHING to be here. You can feel everything! Love you Holly!

  • Love it - loved seeing them "aged" - great song and group !

  • One of the best reforms I have ever seen!

  • Sidensvans says very very cool..

  • as good as the first time;

  • I agree, the lead singer is amazing. 1985 wow, really?

  • this song is lke a longgggggggggggg journey I've been on..

  • An album you have to bring with you the day you leave the world for a far foreign island

  • lmao, badintentions2

  • The lead singer is simply amazing !

  • is that a guy

  • joe pesci should front frankie..he's got the perfect voice

  • FRANKY ROCKS +A Guitar God -Steve Howe doing the solo,OMG! The Bass Line in this song is Beond discription, If you dont have it on vinyl buy the CD!

  • Molloy absolutely owns this song in my opinion! Better than Holly on this one.

  • this is realy the best ever.. what a band what a basplayer .

  • @froz0 The bassist totally kicks ass!! Damn! whatever happened to music like this? Thes were the great times.

  • Absolutely amazing !!

  • amazing performance, the singer has a great voice

  • great

  • Incredible performance. What exactly is the "Pleasuredome"?

  • @waddleduckie1 Google "Xanadu" like the lyrics say Or it may be just a metaphore.

  • Bass is so fucking kickass!!!!

  • @JNblok61newprofil2 Indeed this is how a bass should sound

  • @JNblok61newprofil2 That is some SICK bass!

  • The Lead Singer is Ryan Molloy :)

  • This is f-ing brilliant!!

The bass is unreal. And who is the new singer? Wow.
