@DaKidRich90 He was a heel, sort of. He nevered wrestled, but was a short time manager of (brace yourself) the Undertaker. His 'benafactor' was the Million Dollar Man and sided his interviews with the heels. His biggest mistake was at WM5 appearing on Piper's Pit with Morton Downey Jr and Hot Rod.
@DaKidRich90 He and Morton Downey Jr ( who had a talk show before Jerry Springer & Geraldo) were on Piper's Pit. Brother Love claimed it was his show, until the bagpipes were played. He was wearing a skit as opposed to Pipers kilt and claimed to be Scotch. Piper correctedd him that Scotch is a drink, and told the audience if Love made to heaven we were all a shoo in. wait a second...weren't there three demoliition...i remember at the summerslam match when the foundation won the belts, they kept taking turns hiding under the ring, and sneaking out when the ref's back was turned...
I have no idea why everyone thnks Bret Hart was weak ont he mic. the guy is one fo the best on the mic. He had a way of making it sound legit and not liek he was acting. very few guys ahd that and Bret was one of them. I think one person along the lines probably said Bret was weak on the mic and far too many fans adopted that opinioin like a bunch of sheep. This coming from an HBK fan so.... I just think the opinion that Bret is weak on the mic is a load of bullshit.
I'm tired of hearing Bret couldn't talk. He was not bad, I liked his style. No joking around, he got his point across, he had good intensity. Everyone tries to be funny in their interviews now, I prefer a wrestler who's pissed off and going crazy, which can be funny in it's own way e.g. Warrior and Macho Man.
Filler match. The Hart Foundation jumped the Bolsheviks during the playing of the Russian anthem and pinned them in about five seconds.
WrestleMania was in Canada, and the Hart Foundation needed a match to show why they deserved a title shot, so the WWF gave them a squash match and the crowd in Toronto loved it.
@BlueSkyeReynolds Thanks BlueSkye...I actually already knew about the match itself, lol, but I wasn't sure if there was a feud or if it was filler...wow...I never knew how many fillers made up the old WMs, lol. Some were obvious, like Backlund/Razor at WM 9 and Mountie/Tito at WM VII :)
its hard 2 say what year was the best 4 wwf in the 90s, 90' was sick as fuck,91' badass, 92' tight, 93' ill, 94' kool, 95'ok,96' horrible, 97' way better than 96', 98' awesome and 99' tha shit
No way, 86-89 was off the hook! 90's were ok but the hogan & andre fued got the worlds attention. even if you didnt like wrestling got the world talking!
I cant even concentrate on what Bret is saying...His sparkly glasses, shiny skin, muscular toned, tanned body is WAY too distracting ; ) and lets not forget that gorgeous smile...god I love u hitman<3
Just hearing Brother Love's music cracks me up! It fits him perfectly, it should be called, "The funny/phony/hypocrite song"! I'm a Hitman fan, and Anvil too, but as a team, I HATED them. Faces or heels, something about them together just annoyed me. At this time, after Demolition turned back heel, Ax would call them "The crybaby foundation" lol, I loved it!
Hey neidhart. Met your fat ass the other day and i told you how i felt after your rude i dont have time comment. Your breath stunk and you were trying to bumb a ciggeratte off a old man. Fuck ya.

Man, these were the glory days of WWE (or should I say WWF) Superstars every Saturday morning, followed by Wrestling Challenge on Sundays. Back when the tag team division was at its best, and when the IC title actually had some prestige to it. WTF happened? And WHY? :(
Vince McMahon taking over did. I mean he was always in control, but back then, people were oblivious to the role he played. Nothing gold can stay my man. I think the commentators at the time helped solidify its awesomeness. Where are you going to find another Lord Alfred Hayes, Jesse the Body, Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan. In addition to awesome skits like this, the Snake Pit, and Pipers Pit.
How come we don't have cool talk shows and hosts like The Brother Love Show, The Heartbreak Hotel, and I forgot Paul Bearer's show.. I think he had one too. Beefcake had a good one too. ???
I'm not even hearing what Bret Hart is saying... I'm mesmerized by his fine looking self and those sparkling sunglasses. hehe. ;)
This was a great era for tag-team wrestling. Demolition, The Rockers, The Brain Busters, The Hart Foundation, Money Inc., The Nasty Boys, The Steiner Brothers. There were many great tag-teams back then. I miss when the tag-team division meant something.
i feel the tag division peaked in early - mid 2007 after deuce n domino came in. then they had the major brothers in wwe, and then i think things went downhill from there.
this is when wrestling was at its best and when austin and rock were around not like the present day crap thats around were wrestlers have no mic skills and dont know how 2 work d crowd its boring as these days
if you would read the concept of the Hart Foundation on paper you would think "this must suck"...2 guys in Black and Pink...PINK...with Sunglasses...one technical wrestler and the other being a brawler. But when you see the pink and black attack in action you realize that they are f´n great. Bret and Jim worked soooo well together in and out of the ring and their look was so unique and cool. I always loved to watch the Hart Foundation wrestle. Boy do i miss those days...
to be honest, by todays WWE standards Jim would be a technical wrestler with his dropkicks, launching clotheslines, powerslams and many other moves. He for sure could wrestle, better than many of todays WWE wrestlers.
First signal of Demolition's heel turn...funny how they're setting this match up when both are still faces. I always thought that Demolition turned heel because Ax would have to leave and knew that the crowd wouldn't like Crush replacing him. Plus they were champs so they couldn't just leave. Maybe it was always the intention to turn Demolition heel with or without Ax. But then why have them win the belts in the first place? Hart Foundation v. Colossal Connection would have been interesting
im always amazed how people have all these old wrestling shows still on tape. And as you can see this was back before everybody had to put there logo crap at the bottom of the screen.
Yeah Jim Niedhart was highly underrated and underused(The Who gimmick). If they had the Euro title then he'd be a perfect champ. Both of them were bad-ass!
I always thought Bret was the weak link of the team, not wrestling ability wise but the fact that he was the smaller of the two and whenever the Hart Foundation lost a match, it was usually Brets shoulders that were pinned to the mat. Kinda like how Marty Jannety was the weak ling in The Rockers. Somehow, someway Jannety would lose the match for them.
yeah i agree with you on bret being the weak link but not jennetty it was always shawn who was i mean look at the match the rockers had with the hart foundation on bret's dvd but in wrestling terms every tag team has a weak link and thats why tag matches lasted longer
Your "weak" link ended being the very best wrestler ever while the "strong" one ended up being a jobber and disappared forever after the team splitted up for real.
Just because he was dominated before The Anvil made the huge tag and cleaned the house between the ropes doesn't mean he was "weaker", it was the very opposite since Neidhart was vastly inferior to him in every single area of the wrestling game.
Clearly you don't know what JPThunder was talking about In a tag match, there is always one guy who takes the bulk of the beating in the matches and then has to tag in his partner at the climax and subsequent conclusion of the match. Bret was that guy for the Hart foundation just like the Dynamite Kid was for the British Bulldogs. It's standard Tag Team procedure. No one was talking about who was "over" or who was the better wrestler.
Bret Hart was cleanly THE STRONG link in The Hart Foundation, he was ultra over MORE Than Neidhart would ever be and was working the pace of the match perfectly.

classic the foundation were 1 of the best tag teams going its a shame theres not the same effort put into the tag team championship nowadays i'm not saying the talent isn't there it just seems that the ic and tag team belts have slipped by the wayside and thats a real damn shame and an insult to all the great ic and tag team champs who paved the way

classic the foundation were 1 of the best tag teams going its a shame theres not the same effort put into the tag team championship nowadays i'm not saying the talent isn't there it just seems that the ic and tag team belts have slipped by the wayside and thats a real damn shame and an insult to all the great ic and tag team champs who paved the way
