  • Where's the extreme hip action? A kick that carries all the way through like that, the hip has to break the centerline first or you take the power generated by the hip flexer out of the technique. The fastest point in any arc is at its apex, and from then on the kick is decelerating. Butch lady tho... muscle and flexibility attempt to compensate for small deficiencies in technique.

  • @sadella I agree that her slow kick is very hard & requires flexibility, strength, balance. Saying it is "clean & well balanced" depends on what art you come from. Im not trained in Muay Thai so this might be perfect I dont know. My training is Taekwondo so im used to bring the kicking leg straight back down, or back where it came from or all the way around to the back. the point is to be prepared to fire multiple kicks without losing balance.But then again, 1 muay thai kick is enough to end it

    I hope you are joking. In case you are not, this woman is deliberately practicing kicks in slow motion which develops control through the whole range of motion. It is actually very difficult to slow down your kicks as she is doing. Give it a shot and see.

  • @SuccessfulPossible it helps develop the technique. u go over it slowly with perfect technique and hold ur balance and keep repeating it. putting it in muscle memory. so yeah. it shuld make it higher and stronger as ur body gets used to this. it has to be making her groin strong as hell too. i tried this.

  • lolz that kinda training is very intense ill assume most of u kno that all martial arts power is through core strength to hold ur leg up and move it in a slow rotation as she is doing is extremely difficult to do ur obliques take alot of strain, its realisticly harder then any wieght lifting for ur abz and core section... ive been practising muay thai for 8 years and it really is an intense exersize XD

    Same idea as why it's better to lift weights slow rather than as fast as possible.

  • doing that slowly is called active stretching. as it involves much strength just to hold the leg up there for a while. dynamic stretching where u swing the leg fast up is a completely different thing. basically if u only do dynamic stretches u will lack the power to control the movement and ur leg wants to come down so bad which can be taken advantage of

  • dont swing your arms when you spin. Defense is #1 priority for kicking.
