It only works with the Game Boy and Game boy color, as far as I know. It will work with super Mario bros. deluxe, but it won't with super Mario land.

You need to buy currently manufactured 38mm thermal paper for the printer to work. The Nintendo brand stuff doesn't work anymore, even if it's unopened in the box.

@krebalo just so you know I was right. I got my 38mm thermal paper from a company called gorillapaper in the mail today. Tried it out and the pictures come out as they did back in 1998, dark and clear. Of course it isn't sticky paper, but the other problem was there was like FIVE TIMES too much paper on the roll! I had to waste almost the whole thing to fit it in the printer, and I've got nine more rolls like this lol!!! Guess I've got some pictures to print!

Under the options menu in Pokemon Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal, there should be something that lets you change the picture darkness. That should solve the printing problem.

@Spermpudding Thanks! Actually Game Boy Light looks bit cooler as it is :) Its design feels ergonomically unfinished and somewhat bulky. The size is comparable to Color but Color is much more comfortable for gaming. Even without backlight. But despite of that fact it is a very nice thing to own in collection :)
