  • There are two radically different histories of WW II; the one that was actually fought, and the one where the US kicked everyone's assess. Understand, the Russia versus Germany part of the war wasn't just a little more important than the part the USA was involved in. It was "four times the scale" of the whole Western front, larger than all other phases of the war put together. The Soviet military suffered eight million soldiers dead, more than 20 times the number of U.S. casualties

  • Lol at 2:00. I am just right in front of a moving tank, I think I'll stop walking, he can stop in time and will.

  • That was Epic, I love Patton and I loved the movie. Could watch it 100 times. Great video, good work with the music. - Wes

  • Music fits well with clip. Great cuts.

  • Kill them fucking Nazis!!!!!

  • American: "Do you speak German"?

    Frenchman: "No"

    American: "You're welcome"

  • I usually tune out to YouTube videos with music, but this one, this one, was very well done!

  • Why did they use M60s? Don't they have enough M4s and PnZ4s laying around?

  • We need Patton back for Libya to kick Gaddafi ass !

  • @RJM1011 no you don't, Gaddafi is nothing. He has no aircraft and little to no tank to fight with. If the UN cant distory him then it shows how little power the US has today.

  • i remember there were no king tigers in the desert ...

  • Now we gonna hit that Arab Idiot! Please JCoS...

  • Rommel, i read your book...Patton RIP! Genious!

  • Rommel, i read your books...Patton RIP!

  • best music vid ever

  • This filter song is about the suicide of Bud Dwyer - A corrupt penn Politician who blew his brains out on TV - It has no biz being juxtaposed with a great warrior like Patton - You dishonor him

  • @Stalicone Ah, reactive interpretation; the best part of any form of art. Look, this edit is about texture of picture and music and has nothing to do, actually, with either George or Bud, so don't lose any sleep. Royal Caribbean has been selling cruises with a song about heroin addiction for years; lesson is that if you get too analytical about all this noise, you'll go nuts.

  • @Stalicone "Many soldiers are led to faulty ideas of war by knowing too much about too little."

  • @Stalicone what the filter song is about is at best secondary, at worst, inconsequential

  • Rommel never met Patton in any field.Rommel was already gone because he had no logistic supply at all.Read ROMMELS PAPERS.

  • Erwin Rommel will kicked Patton ass

  • @xalangquan0611

That's funny because Patton kicked Rommel's ass.

  • considero un error esta musica, ya que es mucho mas adecuada la original de la pelicula.

  • Rommel's 10th Panzer sure got the hell kicked out of it!

  • This is cool. I like the tune. It works.

  • LOL at :25.

    The Tenth Pazer division...Camels.

  • @commander672 lol, never really thought about that.. good stuff!

  • Patton. This scene was badAzz

  • USA motherfuckers . . .WE kicked that Crouts ASS !!

  • @baberuthistheman unlike most nazi germany generals rommels followed the rules of war and war refered to with the utmost respect during wartime i would like it to stay that way

  • The movie is so great, but what an awful music!!

  • Spencer7631 best comment ever on YouTube!

  • Erwin Rommel Was Executed for treason because he was part of the 20 July Plot to assasinate Hitler....

  • He either died of wounds, per the Nazi press releases, or committed suicide as reported by his family. The Nazi swine threatened to murder his family if he didn't commit suicide.

In any event, he was given honors and a state funeral.

  • this is not true. read history.

  • @madhoneydew ,He was you moron. Check wikipedia, he was involve in Operation Valkyrie, he was given the option of sucide and took it,he had knowledge of the plot but was not involved.

  • @Eagle0videos

He was one of the only generals NOT to kill Jews POWs. Consitering who thatorder came from It would be safe to say this man had balls.

  • @Eagle0videos

    Aye, agree with ya, mate.

The reason why the Nazi gave him a state funeral is b'coz he was the German people's hero.

They gave him the option of suicide because it would look bad to the Nazi if they executed him like the other conspirators.

That was based on what I read, and I read lots of books about WW2 when I was a kid.

  • What part of Europe are your from? the part whose ass we saved, or the part whose ass we kicked?

  • @Spencer7631 --> WTF!! talking non-sens, precisely propaganda. Read a bit of Noam Chomsky, for instance. What part of entertainment have you choose? The one of Tarantino and false history or the one of Chris Crawford?

  • @Spencer7631

ppl like u r the reason why the whole world love ur country :) Tell ur dad he shall install net nanny to protect the web from u

  • @Spencer7631 what part of northern america are you from, the part where you helped from the start or the part where you come in half way through and take all the glory? america didnt have the balls to commit from the start whereas britain did and was the only country not to have its ass handed to it (like france). So you say save i say bullshit. help is a far better word

  • @PhilClarke1080 England got its ass kicked by the Japs. Without the Americans all of those commonwealth soldiers captured would have spent the rest of their lives building railroads for those little yellow bastards and the Australia would be the newest province in the Japanese empire.

  • @thenoobfactor hmmmm, well its a matter of commitment. our focus was on nazi germany. in asia our forces were very much just garrisons, outstretched and far too much asked of them. the americans experienced the same in the philipennes. the difference was america had a strong will and the means to defeat the japs and ultimately u gave em a thrashing. kudos

  • @Spencer7631 option three, the part that was at war for Two years 11 months while America sold weapons to both sides before joining the winning side.

  • @Spencer7631

    Portugal...

    Neither saved or kiked

  • lol the germans attack with M60 Patton tanks and the americans defend with M60 Patton too. rofl.

  • Also some of the American tanks in these scenes are M41's.

  • ones poland 1939

  • Anyone knows the model of tanks the germans are using??

  • Rommel unser Held.

  • yer a f*ckin genius,,,,,,absolutely great,,,thanks

  • Badass video! General George S. Patton was one of the best generals we ever had.

  • The ONly reason why Patton' was so succesfull, was simple by the fact that he Had the Balls to attack when the moment was there and at the right time.

and this is Coming from a Modern German Tanker! =D

  • i LOVE this song! i'm a descendent of him!

  • Patton rescued the rescued the Lipizzaners in Czechoslovakia in Bergstetten. As long as General Patton was in command they were well treated. After his removal, things were very different.

After the war, 280 horses from Bergstetten were returned to Hungary. Most of the rest were dispersed in Europe or sent to the serum factory.

  • 2:03 that soldier is lucky the tank almost crushed him

  • Patton was a military genius. The only commanders in his league in WW2 were Bradley, Clark, Nimitz and MacArthur. The Germans had no chance against this great leader.

  • You are blinded by propaganda.

  • pwner. This is not propaganda. Patton was only a three star, and yet he achieved so much. England had many five stars, like Wavell and Alexander who did far less.

  • He achieved so much? What did he achieve? He had some military sucesses in North-Africa and then kicked a dying horse after the Normandy landings. Plus you are totally ignoring any German generals.

  • Kicked a dying horse? Patton, like all American generals loved animals, especially horses.

  • Haha, no dude, it's an expression, atleast here. Anyway, Germany is the dying horse and Patton is the guy coming in and kicking it on it's last breath.

  • pwner. Dying or not, Patton was still one of the bravest men in the war. Other brave heroes were Clark, Bradley, Nimitz, Marshall, Spruance and MacArthur.

  • In my opinion his golden time was in World War 1, when he was leading American tanks in Europe. There he was really brave, sprinting between tanks telling them what to do while under fire with no protection. However, your list, I see no Axis generals. Yamamoto, Manstein, Rommel, etc. deserve a place as well as brave, ingenious and good leaders.

  • yamamoto does not deserve a place the only major military successes they had were against terrible unprepared opposition with far worse technology after midway it was all over for the japs they were just going against a better enemy manstein rommel and von rundstedt do deserve to be there though. also patton accounted for over 50% of german casualties in western europe and managed to take over sicily quite quickly whilst only suffering around 10% of allied casualties

  • I don't mind the papermache work. I enjoy watching "I Claudius", and am not enough of a purist to have my joy stolen when they screw up the helmets and lorica segementata. I laugh at reenactors who argue over the "correct" color of khaki or feld grau. Colors vary by production lot, and vary again after a few months in the field with various laundry practices.

  • Patton & Rommel vs.Filterniceshot man

    DrawdEDwardakaSean into Middle 3:11

    Patton & Rommel vs.Filterniceshot man

So! want to settle score with me s p

    El Guettar

MeGautier you understand,no one has paid for the first beat.

  • those germans tanks look like abrahams

  • gERMAN aRMY IN ww2 with a M60 PATTON tank??? this tank, for that I´m shure was inveted after the war! the german use panzer 4,3,2 and the Tiger in Africa but nice vid best wishes from germany

  • You just kind of have to accept that they didn't have access to massive stores of 1940s era armor for use in this film, especially German tanks which are rare and valuable in and of themselves.

Patton tanks from the cold war were ideal substitutes considering when this film was made and what was available. Battle of the Bulge does a similar stunt, but they have the gall to claim that the tanks used are period accurate, which is just false advertising.

  • Saving Private Ryan used a T-34 chassis as their 'Tiger' with a very good job of paper mache over the top to Tiger it out.

  • the movie was made in 1970 what did u want them to go and rebuild all these tanks for 1 movie

  • Well, of few of the M60 Pattons were used in the war, but they had very little effect.

  • Most tanks were destoryed after the war. Only a few survived to this day.

  • Battle of El Guettar (in Almería, Spain) Really is Patton & von Armin vs. Filter.

    Thanks for the vid, 5/5.

  • The song is Hey Man Nice Shot by filter

  • Its called: Hey man nice shot by filter

  • what song is this?

  • I'd like to know what song this is to. All i know is its mad by a band called Filter, so i tried looking for it and failed

  • Filter: Hey man nice shot.

  • Rommel, you magnificent bastard, I READ YOUR BOOK!!!

  • What movie is this?

  • "Patton".

  • FUCKING AWESOME.

  • wtf german have abrahams and americans got persings retard movie

  • They didn't have M1 Abrams tanks in 1970 when Patton the movie was released. The American armor in this film is the M41 Walker Bulldog Light Tank and the Germans are using the venerable M-48 General George S. Patton Medium Tank, which is an irony all its own.

  • sorry but ...no

thanks for the vid octane boy

  • usa done 90% of the fighting against the nippon empire hmmmm so all the fighting the chinese, australians and many other countries done only added up to 10% hmmmm sounds like an american history lesson to me

  • um dude. the U.S was the main ass kicker in the Pacific theater.

if it wasn't for the U.S Navy your country would have been invaded by the Japs.

  • this is what you said :quote :as I said WW2 had more then just the Germans it in Dummy. an 90% of the fighting against the Empire of Japan was U.S an the main Force against the Germans on the west side was Americans......now where did you state you were only talking about the pacific theater.......US militry deaths ww2 416,800 ..... Chinese militry deaths ww2 3,800,000

  • I know I stated the pacific theater.

also see you fail at the history thing for China Since China had more then 1 Military during WW2 :)

an why are you comparing deaths? that is so retarded lol just because more ppl die doesn't mean they did more lol.

also Japan invaded China in 1937, also wiki isn't a really good source noob :) more Chinese died then 3,800,000 you need add in the Communist forces also, also on that China was in a Civil war.

  • Sorry but the most bloodiest and worst fighting in human history was civil war. Yeah germany is always portrayed as evil.

If killing 6 million Jews is not evil what is

  • bullshit. French Revolution was the bloodiest time in history. they cant even account for half of the dead during that time...

  • Fact is allied the allied war machine had to stop as the winter in belgium comes.Movies like BOB let it looks like this was the coldest place in universe but there was just an normal european winter.Germans and Russian soldiers was fighting in antarctic temperatures in ditches even with her knifes and scoops. Its not an fairytale or Hollywood story that the fight in the eastern front was the worst , most bloody and terribly fight since the beginning of human history.

  • try Finns vs Russians in the winter war now that shit is cold.

  • Funny comments here its everytime the same!!America win the war , Americans are the good guys , America fly to the moon and America wins the cold war against the empire of evil after Germany loses that title.American soldiers are the best , America is is so technological and so on. Fact is as American troops was out of air support like in the Ardennenoffensive or for english or better Americans the battle of the bulge the German troops crushed even an enemy that was outnumbering them.

  • Well Americans are the good guys :) name a country who kicks the shit out another country an then spends shit loads of money on building it back up?

also you forgot to talk about how 1 American airborne Division stalled the Germans during the battle of the bulge.

also you can't fly to the moon lol you can travel to it though no air in space :)

also Americans were not out of air support in that battle they just had really shitty weather.

  • American Airborne Divisions made up only a portion of the American Divisions who stopped the German advance in the Ardennes. Both the 28th and 4th Inf. Div. who were pulled out of the Hurtgenwald held their positions. Only the 106th Inf. Div. had 2 regiments surrender. 101st & 82nd. Abn Divisions were also a part of this operation and only the former seems to get any credit, but there were a whole lot more G.I.'s who fought tenaciously to repell the German's advance.

  • also U.S didn't have all the the tech in WW2 I don't know why your saying that. Germans had a lot of nice things too.

  • who was the jackass who decided every movie battle scene needed a new soundtrack? incredibly annoying not to be able to find a scene with the original music/ sound!

  • Who's the jackass who thinks everything on YouTube should be free and as they want? Incredibly annoying to not have you just go to Target and buy the DVD for yourself.

  • @octaneboy I guess it's a good thing I own a copy of this movie and can watch i whenever I want.

  • @octaneboy Name of song?

  • @jesballboy "Hey Man, Nice Shot" by Filter

  • when the red army had a rifle for every three men i wouldnt exactly call that a force to be reckoned with haha i mean come on we fought a 2 way with with japan too and it took them forever, you could say it was the winter that saved your ass

  • and you could say thank god it did beacause you would not have had a hope of victory if it didnt stop him

  • we had almost finished our manhattan project tack on another year and another bomb dropped on germany. ive never seen russia kick ass at a war....ever becuase after japan was finished we would have moved those guys into europe, if you actually read history the west wasnt allowed to storm into berlin they had to let russia do it for morale terms( kinda like kuwait taking back their land from iraq)

  • Russia fought the best army in the world with the best tech and tactics from 41 amerca only had to fight the defeated germany germany lost the war at kusck june 20-23 1943 hitler attcked (against all his generals wishes)

you had not nerly finnished the atom bomb in 44 everybody knows it was the captured german plans of atom bomb and there captured scintists gave you the break throught with the bomb.

  • also to add the Russia got there asses handed to them by the Japs in the early1900, for Russia to fight Japan would be impossible they didn't have the Navy

  • and dont say crap like russia had a minimum efecct on the war they won it even if it did come at the price of 20 million people.

80% OF ALL GERMAN CAUALTIES SUSTAINED ON THE EASTERN FRONT.

and if you want to know something of extra interest 150'000 jews fought for germany juring the fall of berlin

  • well god i would hope most casulties on the east but actually from a russian soldier? hardly it was weather that killed them like it or not russia hasnt really kicked ass at much of anything outside of their own country they cant do much

  • omg your a retard the Russians had the the clothes to sustain the winter the germans high command did not supply there solders with winter gear because they expected the war to lasst a maximun of 8 weeks as did all weeks americas scitary of state told roseevelt he expected russia to be clealed up in 6-8 weeks.

you would not of had a chance against germany without the soviets the germans were raking up 20/1 tank kills on the western front and on the eastern front it was 11/1

  • your main concern is the EU if lisbon is passed in ireland(witch all poles sugest it will be then america will not be the top gun in the world any longer)

  • and if youread some history you would see russia produced some of the greatest millitary minds ever Alexander suvorov is regareded as one of the greatest millitary minds evr to have lived he fought over 60 battles(cant rember how many) and lost none.

and about that bullshit about the russians never inventing anything good im no expert in russian tech from what ive seen of docomentarys and the reserch ive done i would have prefered to be in a mig-15 rather than a saber f-86 in the korian war.

  • well too bad the "korean" (not korian) war was how many years ago? your talking about napoleanic times im talking about now present day please keep up with the times old man how many governments has russia been through in the past 100 years too? they cant keep their shit together

  • i said korean because in the 1950s America was soposed to be miles ahead in technologhy and you said "ive never seen russia kick ass at a war....ever"

and russia has been rising steadily in recent years not that russia your main concern now(even thought they want Iran to join the SCO) inwitch case you be unable to invade them unless yoou want a neucler war)

  • yep the U.S was already in Germany by November of 44, but due to a meeting the Russians were going to take Berlin ot the western allies.

  • so what if russia got thier ass handed to them by japan im saying Russia won WW2 not every single war

and the Russo/japan war japan was nerly bankrupt after the war where as russia did not even feal the strain.

  • dude Russia did not win WW2, hell every one knows it was aid coming from the U.S that what kept the allies going.

as I said WW2 had more then just the Germans it in Dummy. an 90% of the fighting against the Empire of Japan was U.S an the main Force against the Germans on the west side was Americans.

you really have no idea about history do you?

  • europe was givven priority and when people WW2 there ussually talking about germany.

and usa only gave Russia about 5% of thir resourses

how many shermans fought at stalingrad or Kursck? None not that they would have stood up for long.

sure aid to britan kept them alive but not the Soviets

  • um ya that's a bunch of Bull bud, 500 ships, 15,000 thousand aircraft, 2 million pairs of sox 2 million pairs of boots, 2,000 engines for ships, 5,000 Jeeps, 3,000 tanks, untold amount of Food, tons an tons an tons of materials. thats' mroe then 5% bud etc list goes on an no try looking it up.

also USSR had a lot of Staurt tanks, not a lot of Shermans

Russian general Zhukov said that without the help from the USA we could have never got this far. FACT put that in your pipe an smoke it.

  • can you ive me a source for that i cant find anything and i cant get a site to tell me how many us tanks fought at kursk or staingrad

the russian amry had over 14 million infantry troops alone.

  • Germans could have won Kursk but the allied landings in Italy fucked that up.

  • Patton is remembered most for his charisma and doggedness, but he was also a tactical genius who got more out of the resources given to him than other allied commanders.

  • Patton should have come to Stalingrad just as Paulus did. 3rd Army would have met the same fate as 6th. Silly man, even Paulus was better general than Patton. All he had to do was mop up the old and young germans, the Red Army had destroyed the real wehrmacht.

  • patton wouldn't come to stalingrad. he was smarter than that

  • paulus had to make some terrible mistakes cuz of hitler like taking hopeless objectives and needlessly sacrfificing men something patton wouldve actually refused to do (even under hitler: dont believe me rommel disobeyed some direct orders cuz he was good) paulus wouldve done better if hitler didnt split his forces

  • i know hitler the reason germany lost the war he sacked his best tank commander (gundarian) for withdrawing his tank divvisions out of artillary range in december 1941

  • i agree

  • If it wasn't for the stupid politicians that we have till present there would be no Bolshoviks running around. What we need is 1 more Patton .

  • OK, this music video is probably the first time I've seen someone make a music vid for a movie that didn't suck.

    Good job.

  • There is no doubt that..Soviet Union faced the biggest challenge..and the Russians Red Army fought bravely..and sacrificed a lot to take out the front lines of the nazi march..Hitler lost the war..in Russia..after the counter attack .

  • Vikky867: Though I agree that the Soviets did do most of the fighting in WWII, remember that the Russian winter and a poor resource supplement caused the 6th army to be much weaker than Nazis on the Western front. Soviet determination was unwavering and they were also beleaguered at Stalingrad, but if it wasn't for US and GB in the west stretching and pretty much kicking Nazi ass, the Soviets would have lost; and no USSR would not have beaten back the full might of the Wermacht, same for GB &US.

  • I say clone Patton and unleash him in the middle east. Insurgency....would be no more. Its a damn shame that it seems we have forgot how to fight. I ask you, would Patton be stuck in Iraq still???? The same with MacArthur, he was a decent commander, but far better in reconstructing, look at what he did with Japan.

  • you dont have a chance in afganistan you can stay there for ever and you never have peice.

same as britan never had a chance v the IRA the first modern gurrilla army under of modern gurrilla tactics micheal collins

  • The Russians were good fighters once they got organized. What Stalin did by killing a lot of the top leaders military or otherwise from being paranoid. The Russians took the biggest beating in WW2 overall.

  • Pretty much... America kicks ass.

  • Not as much as the Soviet union did.

  • dont make me laugh why did they lose so many men in tis war if they were so good, no russian army had close to the kills patton's 3rd army had

  • You might want to have a look at the amount of fascist troops killed in russia. The figure is higher then all those killed on both sides in the western campaign. The russians destroyed an entire german army at stalingrad. The west was a sideshow compared to the east.

  • ah yes but i said russian ARMY, they had several of those, no single army met the destructive power of patton's army the soviets lost more than four fold the german troops they killed

  • you might wanna sort out "kills" form deaths unrelated to fighting kinda like the russian winter without it they would have been fucked

  • paton fought raw mainly recruits. most of the elite troops were fighting in the east

  • patton's third army was new and he went up against von rundstedt who was pretty darn good

  • patton had all the equipment he needed germany had praciclly no resources left by 44 and most of the tank and plane divisions were fighting the russians.

and i know von rundstedt was good he was probably the best german stratagist

  • Yeah throw all your men at them like in world war one and shoot them if they run back.RETARDED but it worked.

  • Not to mention that the Russians were fighting to save their country AT THAT MOMENT...they had to win or die either way so... America did very well considering their situation wasn't as obviously dire.

  • the germans would never attack in the open like that.... ever

  • Well the Germans weren't attacking, they were on their way to attack.

  • they didnt attack they were advancing......in a desert patton ambushed them so to say

  • the germans got caught unprepared like we did at pearl harbor.

  • the tanks are m80 main battle tanks used in vietnam first i think, the use of them ruins the realisticness of the movie

  • m80? Your high. You mean m-60's...there is no m-80. After the M-60's came the m1's.

  • m48's

  • wat tamks were used for american tanks ?

  • in the movie? i cant tell :s only the tanks used by the germans are m48's

  • "I read your book" - haha. Take that, you Nazi bastard.

  • rommel wasnt a nazi u idiot

  • Hahaha - technically, you're right. But inasmuch as he willingly fought for Hitler, your point seems a bit dull. Furthermore, your inclusion of the word "idiot" makes you seem much the same.

  • thats why rommel was given the choice of either suicide or courtmarshial along with a trial for the rest of his family for conspiring to assasinate him.

  • well that's probably true (haven't done enough research to really discuss it) but the point is that's actually a quote from this movie when Patton finishes the battle....

  • u know what man? ur the first person iver met that could actualy admit that he doesnt know enough about somthing to argue about it. lol.

  • That was fucking badass!

  • Two words: EPIC WIN

  • The Germans in the movie are marching to the slaughter like Napoleons army. And Americans are just are waiting to open fire. This is as far as you can get from reality. Picketts charge! Hahaha :D

  • I agree with Hyper, this recreation is extremely inaccurate. Rommel woulda never ''blobbed'' his troops like that. And wtf kinda tanks were those? Those looked like cheap post-worldwar2 russian t68 tanks or summin. I dont believe those to be anything near german engineering.

  • You are 100 percent right. Most war movies of the 1970 period onwards don´t present much battlefield realism, but are very entertaining and some have become legendary.

Saving Private Ryan was in my opinion one of the first realistic modern war movies.

  • I remember back in high school my history teacher said it was disturbing because of how real it was.

  • The land battles of WW2 were fought on broad fronts, with many smaller units fighting engagements independently with varied distances apart from each other. So technically Patton could not possibly have had a complete overview of the battle of El Qatar from his binoculars, at best he could observe a single unit in action.

  • I agree, but I was referring about the scene of Omaha in Saving Private Ryan :)

  • Great movie. I also own a DVD collection of the entire Band of Brothers series. Hope they make a sequel. =D

  • they wouldnt make a sequel to band of brothers because its based on a true story. but i did hear there gonna make another like it but in the pacific fighting the japs.

  • realy? when?

  • im entirely sure when a freind of mine told me. go to Dogmeat7 he is the one that told me.

  • well there is a new series called the Pacific, same producers, different actors, different story if that helps

  • Thanks for that. I will check it out.

  • a bridge too far was the first realistic ones I think, in most respects at least, you just could not show all war injuries on screen in those days just like that.

  • Well said
