I mean if you see mainstream music, they seem near perfect in concerts and stuff. I think Jag doesn't really use all those effects and autotune in his songs. @lordzero545 I don't think they used auto tune per say, perhaps fix the pitch a tad. Their song aren't exactly easy on the vocals, I love them but they do abuse falsetto on Jag's part. Which can lead to not sounding too amazing live, a slight hoarseness can screw over your whole part in the song.

@hasseo1 Falsetto is just head singing. It shouldn't mess up your singing unless you're singing out of your vocal range. Everybody has their own range. I mean I'm pretty sure a baritone can't hit Jag's notes and Jag can't exactly hit a baritone's lower range. You can tell Jag does alot of warm-ups and practice to keep his voice nice. Alot of singers just sing when they have to instead of practicing or warm-uping which could lead to hoarseness. I think that's what you're trying to say right?

It is true that it is just head singing, many singers attempt to just sing as you mentioned and lead to wrecking their voice. As my vocal instructor almost did and as a result had to have surgery when he was young. ^^

@lordzero545 i dont deny that hes not completely sick, because he is. but every band whos professionaly recorded (them included), from pop singers to piano ballad artists, all use vocal corrections in studio. as far as autotune goes, its really the unpreferred unless your a dumb rapper trying to get that bad sound on purpose. typically professionals will use Melodyne, and absolutely no vocal track ever goes without compression. i definitely see what your saying though, hes so awesome live!

I love how ignorant people are when it comes to autotune. This isn't autotuned. If it was, you would hear the pitch correcting itself, and it would sound robotic, and even though on key, still shitty. Jag doesn't autotune, they just used really high tech equipment. Wouldn't want a shitty live DVD would you?

This is the case with Silverstein's Decade and All Time Low's Straight to DVD. Both sound as amazing as this thanks to the equipment and their road crew.
