@AngelRemodies People who do musical comedy usually have clear voices, it is said they are "metallic" because it is a very clear and clean sound :) . Theatrical versions will always be better than the movie versions of a musical, don't know why producers rather have a pretty or popular face than a great singer! (ex. Phantom of the opera with Gerard Butler and the other silly girl).
@moninblue that might be true in a lot of cases, but for the movie version of Rent all except for a few actors were actually the original broadway performers, I believe those playing Mimi and Joanne were the only exceptions and both those actresses did great all the same, loved their voices. Of course a movie can never compare to the actual on stage experience, but for some of us it's as close as we get...around here they only perform translated musicals, and I hate translations lol
I'm playing the role of Angel in my theatre's production (6'3 straight guy, lol, but thin and feminine), and Justin's performance is an inspiration.
