I did film the Mormon church but unfortunately there was vandalism on the sign (I couldn't determine whether it was just plain tagging or that someone wanted to attack Mormons), and didn't think it would put them or our community in a favorable light. Santa Monica and Western is part of the East Hollywood area, but not part of our neighborhood council's boundaries, that why I didn't include it.
Is diversity necessarily a good thing? If I was born in the states and I like cheeseburgers and football does that make me a bad person? What if I have no interest in kabobs and soccer?
You dont have to like kebabs and soccer... nobody is asking you to, thats the beauty of diversity. I dont like soccer either but baseball and basketball are still played worldwide as well as boxing. You can still find a burger joint and a bar that that shows football games in East Hollywood.
No of course not... But what if everyone liked cheeseburgers and football... Then.. it'd just be boring. Diversity teaches people to live with eachother despite HUGE differences... There are conflicts, but sooner or later, most of these conflicts disappear
