Love the video, and the message it contains. Glad to see someone took the time and effort to put it into spoken words, for the benefit of those among the 70% of people who can understand spoken english, at least. One thing I'd like to mention though: The narrator isn't british, he's australian; and you'll find that his attitude towards this social inequality is very common among us aussies. :)
Everytime if I am sad or depressed or angry or ....... I watch this viodeo!!!! It reminds me in how many ways I am blessed. It's not about statistics. It's about humanity and free your mind!!!!!!!!!! So thank you!!!!!!!!!! Vielen lieben Dank!!!!!!!!;-)
I'm the guy that people go to for advice, the one people turn to and at times say they're not as strong as me and can't endure what I can. However, this year I was dragged down moreso than any year prior, at points believing I would never stand up again, nor even have the wish to. I came home today on my lunch break feeling utterly detached from any percievable human reality. - cont
Watching this video, I actually shed a couple tears. Thank you for hitting me where I needed it. I'll learn to love, like I've never been hurt and give more of myself than I thought existed.
As far I have researched-The Zeitgeist Movement is the only Group out there that has brought up some Real and Tangible Solutions to ACTUALLY SOLVE OUR ECONOMICAL, SOCIAL & ECOLOGICAL CRISIS - watch "Awakening 1/4" (short video) and "Zeitgeist Addendum" to know more about it. Both of them are on YouTube. The SOLUTIONS presented in both videos are already being applied and they have already been proved to work in the short and long run. It's about time to expand/spread it World Wide.
wait a minute!! 6 people own 59% of all the worlds wealth they're all american and yet only one has a college education and only one owns a computer????? what are these people spending there money on?
@frknstn LOL. good point. The idea for this video is good, but it's done rather badly. It comes across a meaningless numbers. Why not just show footage of innocent iraqi's being killed by U.S soldiers. That makes the point a little bit more pertinantly. Fight the power.
@bsjunior Then YOU make a better one, there are plenty of the videos you mention this is different and this is no less useful. Don't critisize unless you have some thing better to offer.
@2lovebeings When you release something into the public domain you make it open to criticism. that's part of the process, critique is useful in terms of creating educational debate. don't take it personally. as for me, perhaps you could tell which software you use to create your video. I'd very much like to start contributing to this medium. thanks
@bsjunior It's not my video, I just get annoyed when people find fault when somebody makes an effort , just because you can't understand statistics does not mean other people don't.
@2lovebeings who said I don't understand statistics? I understand statistics perfectly well thank you. However, statistics are often very misleading, especially if the are presented flatly without proper context. As for finding fault in someone else's efforts, are you implying that all effort is equally deserving of praise? perhaps I should congratulate Hitler on his "efforts"? Effort without proper understanding is more damaging than helpful. It's not a good video...sorry to the creator.
@bsjunior Woah! Lot of anger going on there!Personally I think the graphics illustrate the statstics very well- you said frknstn made a good point though it shows a complete misunderstanding of the statistics presented so I apologise if I infered that you didn't. If you don't fully understand the problem no amount of righteous indignation is going to help you but that is my perspective no need to shoot logical fallacies in all directions, (Hitler?). Your comment was in the public domain too:) I
@2lovebeings I don't actually understand what your point is I'm afraid. I'm pointing the out the logical fallacies in your reasoning. Which seems to be - "if someone has made an effort then don't criticise" - which doesn't make sense. I'm not angry at all, I'm just asking you to explain yourself.
huh nicely put! makes me feel blessed to have just the things I think are little. This makes me feel better but I want everyone to be blessed because I see no reason for people to go without.
This is a great video, but would you consider adding this: THINK like never before to provide the solution to unify this world and end this solvable suffering.
Your "dance like nobody is watching" nonsense will not bring capital to the impoverished parts of the world. It will not put food in people's mouths, nor will it find them clean water. Wealth doesn't fall from the sky, it isn't given to us by lawyers who run for office, and it most definitely doesn't come from dancing. It has to be accumulated, structured, and maintained.
I'll go along with this sentiment. 100% It is in fact the only way to bring the system down. We all need to stop work and stand still in silent protest.
May you find the "wealth" of knowledge that gives you the critical thinking skills to realize that there are solutions to solve the worlds problems, and "wealth" for ALL can be derived from a resource based economy, NOT money.
@ 0:53 "Six people would possess 59% of the world's wealth, and all six people would be from the U.S."
Sounds bogus to me. The ones who own and/or control the lion's share of the world's wealth are the world bankers. And they are NOT "all...from the United States".
This reminds me of what I call "The Zeitgeist spin".
keep in mind this is a group of 100 we're talking about. sure there are plenty of wealthy power controllers outside of the USA, but when the proportion is 100:6500000000, those outside of the USA collectively represent a very small fraciton of one person, not even noticable
Education is the key but the few that can make such a large change do not wish to make that change. Its very unfortunate but true. I wish this was not the case and everyone focused on education.
