@Shesamazinq2k11 Actually, I'm guessing you didn't know that Mickey's first ever voice actor was Walt Disney himself! I'm not sure if this is him or not but I think this is close to Mickey's original voice. Mickey's voice has changed a lot over the years.
The MM Club will never be what it was. There is no one today like Walt Disney or Jimmie Dodd, and the culture has changed too much for it to have the same timeless appeal of the original show. Nor is the creative talent there today. To use the level of such talent today as was used in the original show would cost too much money.
"Not exactly. It started in 1955, ran for 4 seasons, was revived in 1977, ran for 1 or 2 seasons, and was revived in 1989, when it ran for another 6 seasons or so."
Still, that leaves a lot of material for DVD use if they compiled all the seasons together.
@timberhide1 I doubt that Disney will bring this show to DVD, being that it only had one season, and if they were to put this into a DVD format is beyond me
@wrestletube1 Not exactly. It started in 1955, ran for 4 seasons, was revived in 1977, ran for 1 or 2 seasons, and was revived in 1989, when it ran for another 6 seasons or so.
4:31 There's my angel Kelly again! Those blue eyes, that splendid mane of soft golden hair.... and the way she sweetly giggles....she will ALWAYS get the best of me! I just can't stop loving her....
by the way Little House was fillmed at the same lot, as well as many 70s & 80s shows like V, Father Murphy, Macus Welby, & more. The area was burned out from California wildfires in the late 90s early 2000s
The grassy hill discovery clip had a strange Little House on the Prairie meets Westworld feel to it. I kept expecting Laura Ingals and the robotic gunfighter to appear at any moment.
thks..this is Gen X classic...although i remember the re runs of the 60's version this one was the that my generation indentifies with no doubt. (lol especially that disco intro)
@timberhide1 Hey Friend, Disney doesn't have it on DVD yet nor, to my knowledge, do they have plans to do so. However, if enough of us write, who knows? Yes, I would love to have it on DVD also. Thanks
@Beautifulmusiclistnr: Actually they did have it on DVD as part of the Walt Disney Treasures line. It, Zorro, True Life Adventures, & the various short subjects were each given DVD releases.
@TherealRNO Are you serious? They had it on DVD as part of their Disney Treasures line? I'll have to look into that. I remember watching the Zorro adventures with Guy Williams. I think that's his name. He was on "Lost in Space". That brings back some memories. Speaking of Lost in Space, I was watching an episode of "The Rockford Files" today, and at the end, they showed the guest stars. It had Bill Mumy on there (ie. Billy Mumy) from L.I.S., but he had dark glasses and I didn't recognize him.
Oh wow. Does this bring back memories. I was 8 years old when the NMMC debuted in 1977. The problem was that the local station aired it around 2 or 2 thirty in the afternoon on the weekdays and school didnt let out until 3pm. So the only way I could see an episode here and there was if I was sick, on vacation, or cut out of school early. I think the ratings would have been better if they only aired it at a time when we kids could see it. And I had the maddest crush on Kelly!!! (who didnt?)
its changed so much

@disneyfan85 Yes, it is Wayne Allwyne doing Mickey's voice. This show may have been the first time his voice was heard as Mickey.

@ThePatch202 It started in the 50s and ended in the 90s I believe. That makes plenty of seasons of it for DVD.

@Beautifulmusiclistnr: I am sure they've had at least one incarnation of the original MMC on DVD. Whether it's out of print I wouldn't know, however.
