@manezz82 Certes c'est moche, mais à un moment donné, il faut se poser les questions, dont celle de l'avenir écologique de nos enfants... économie de bruit... oui, le bruit est une "pollution" sonore. Alors si j'ai les moyens de m'acheter un véhicule électrique, je préfère qu'il soit moche mais propre et peu bruyant.

Dont you understand? Pierre Couture created the Wheel-Motor. But Hydro Quebec ''decided'' to abort the project to ''control the money of the company''. After, the Wheel-Motor has been purchased by TM4 and other french companies.

The cars was not built by Hydro Québec. They used a Chrysler Intrepid the 1994 version was equip with 2 front wheel the 1995 version with 4 in wheel electric motor. Each wheel develop 150 HP ( I'am not certain if it's more or less

Horse Power) each develop 1200 NM of torque for a total of 4800 NM of torque for 4 wheel.

Where can I see that ev you say was developed by Hydro-Québec? Motor-In-Wheel technology is the next thing but no body has been able t do it in 4-wheel cars as far as I know. Only in bikes and scooters. If you have any info on that I would very much like to see it. Thanks!

Electric cars are not ideal for any country. Electric cars are not better than gasoline powered cars. And if somebody thinks that by driving one they will do nature any better, first check if your country doesn't produce electricity by burning fossil fuels.

I'm aware of France using electricity mostly from nuclear plants, however radioactive waste is a big issue too. If you want to know why gasoline cars are more reliable, than electric cars I can PM you if you want.

you are right. driving an electric car right now, would do more harm for nature than driving a tiny and efficient diesel car. but the point about buying an electric car is that you're helping to fund the research and develpment effort for cars that do not use fossil fuel because that's where we are headed eventually.

Thank you for agreeing with me, I don't know why people decided to thumb me down, as if I crashed their childhood dreams... But of course electric cars would be better in the future. As of now an electric car is not a car for everyone, for various reasons. I also would like to see government fund the research, rather than leaving electric car to the free market.
