The best movies of the last decade. These movies were one of the last hurrahs of the 00's before the years fell to shame with movies like Transformers and Emmerich's trash. Jackson stunned the world, and he's doing it again with Guillermo in 2011. I cannot wait for the trilogy to expand. The Hobbit is my favorite book.

Yes...mom loved watching this series..I watched all three of them with her when they come out in theaters. It is rare that both of us enjoy a film if we go and see one...I has the three extended trilogies at home already (got them for mom as X-mas gifts)...but I may get the new ones...but I will wait for the extended HD...I want to see the Hobbit when it comes out!!! I wanna see Smaag the Dragon!!!!

@3shacks1house Totally agree with you. These movies are unforgettable. Some movies have really great special effects, and some have really good stories, but its hard to find a movie that has the best of both. LOTR and The Matrix are probably my 2 favorite trilogies ever.
