Dear Lisa, I am 23 is ok for me to use the sk II eye treatment, 'cos my under eye area is very dehydrated with all of this products I used in the past for acne treatment and I wear glasess, as well as I pale and under eye circle are very visiable
Can you please do makeup for glases, Love your videos, alway come back to them, if I want to buy something new or learn new technique, only afrter your last videos with Hanoko I learnt how to do my own makeup, 'cos before it was very messy
This was really helpful, thank you so much. I'm in my early 20s and I have oily/combination skin. I've never really had acne, but I have lots of blocked pores/ white heads that can never seem to go away, no matter what I do, and spot creams don't help at all, in fact they create a dry patch and just makes it worse.
I really enjoyed these vids about your personal regime. I'm 42 years old and starting to gets lines under my eyes. I sold Lancome in my 20's so I know how to take care of my skin. I've been using eye cream for years. My skin is in good shape for my age. I find it interesting that you don't like anti-aging creams. You look so terrific, I would have though that you used lots of heavy product. I'm glad to see that it's not necessary. Thanks again!!
Have you ever tried the Milk Make-up Remover from L'occitane and the Eye Make-up Remover from Neil's Yard Remedy? They are my absolute favourites, esp. the one from Neil's yard because removes water proof mascara almost instantly but it is not oily at al. It feels like water on your eyelids!
I have dry skin around my eye area, however the eye creams i have used have caused millia around my eyes. I was wondering if you have any recomendations for a hydrating eye cream that will hopefully not cause millia?x
Hello, forgive my english, I live in Argentina and I speak spanish. I have senstive and dry skin, and I `m nex to my forties year old. What cream woud you recommend me for de eyes zone?? Eye cream by SK II; All about eyes by Clinique; something by Clarins, Vichy, Avene ??? I will really apreciate your answer and opinion. Thank you very much.
I love how classy you are Lisa, and the neck tip is so simple but something iv never thought of doing thank you. Please could you try out the new lance & new channel foundation and tell me which is the best? Xxxxx
I just wanted to say that if anyone was looking for a really gentle spot treatment with salicylic acid in they should try clean & clear dual action moisturiser, it's excellent and only about £3-4 so it's well worth trying it out!
Can you please do a video with more information about caring for skin around eyes? You only mention a couple of types in the skincare videos. I have heard that you should use a heavier creme at night that might not do so well under makeup during the day. Thanks! type of eye
hello please can you tell me what would be suitable for skin as i am only 14 years old, my skin is very dry and very rarely ever gets oily skin only on my lids and i dont wear hardly only face makeup just eye makeup ?? thanks
The Gatineau 3D Lift mask doesn't seem to be in production anymore based on their website (Europe and Australia sites don't list it). Where do you purchase yours? Please share the link if possible. Thanks.
Lisa, Im curious about what you have to say about the Creme de La Mer. I know that a lot of makeup artists rave about it, and many celebrities consider it a HG product. Can you share your thoughts on it?
I don't know if you already did a video on that. But I was wondering with all the products you use and stuff, what is the routine... the order of using them all... What do you start with, serums go in between what? It would be very interesting to hear that from you. Lovely videos and very informative...
hi, im a big believer and fan of Dr. Hauschka and most natural products but i find they don't really do the job of removing make-up. my skin is very sensitive with product that are not natural that goes for cleansers and foundation as well. i was wondering if you had any recommendations for makeup remover that is not harsh on the skin. also do you think i should continue to use Dr. Hauschka or are they better cleansers.
Could you please do a tutorial for the makeup look you're wearing in this video? I know it has been a while since you did this video, but I absolutely adore the way your makeup looks, and would love to try it out myself, if only I knew the techniques. Thanks so much :D! Love your videos <333
I heard that using too many products on your face will only make things worse.. but it seems to be working on your skin. is it because the products you use are the best out there?
Thank you Lisa every time I see a video of yours make me feel like I know you for ever also thanks for sharing your knowledge with us I learn so much trough your videos
Hi Lisa, I love you and your videos - thank you so much for them xxx. Q. As a 27-yr old with adult acne, should I also be using anti-aging products or can I continue using acne reducing items? xxxxx
Hi Lisa , I enjoyed your video's on your skincare , and again I will be trying some of the products you mentioned . As well as being a MUA I trained as a beauty Therapist , and went on to specialized skin care I use ultra sun factor 30 and 50 find it really good Gatineau is a firm favorite too . I have just started with a new masque from their Aqua Memory range Its beautiful and so hydrating its like a drink for the skin . I would recommend this to you its been great for me Love Sarahjane x
Hi Lisa, what do you think about quemical peeling in general, like, for example glicolic acid (practiced by some esthetic clinics)? I am really curious...I´ve never tried one. Thanks! Greetings:)
@scraddockmakeup I would also get a simple, light moisturiser (try the neutrogena daily moisturiser for combination skin). If that doesn't help you should go to a specialist and have them tell you your skin type so you know you are using the right products for your skin. Best of luck xxxxxx
@scraddockmakeup I'm not sure if this helps as I have never had much in the way of spots, however I recently had a bad reaction to a very popular UK cleanser (I won't bash the name) and for the first time in my life I got quite a few spots. I changed to the l'occitane immortelle brightening cleanser and my skin has completely cleared. If that doesn't help, try the murad moisture rich cleanser, it might settle your skin down. It will definitely balance it. I hope this helps.
I was wondering what is your opinion on alcohol as a cosmetic ingredient. I see that some of the products you like contain alcohol but I've heard it is not good for sensitive skin and that it stimulates oil production in oily skins. I try to avoid it because my skin is very sensitive and I've read it also breaks down the collagen in the skin. But it's hard to find products with no alcohol in the formula, even some sunscreens and foundations have it :(
i have tried so many different products, many of the ones you recommended but my skin is still so oily and acne ridden! if anything its getting worse! :( i dont know what to do :(
@scraddockmakeup I'm not sure if this will help, of if you have heard of it already, but you should check out acne.org. They have a regimen of gentle cleanser, benzoyl peroxide, and moisturizer to clear acne (you don't have to buy their products although they are very cheap) I'm currently trying it and I think the key is to keep with it for at least a few months until you are completely clear, and then go in and add other products. OH! and they highly recommend AHA lotion just like Lisa!
I'd say my skin is sensitive and combination/oily but when i've purchased products that contain salicylic acid (such as the Vichy Purifying Cleansing Gel), at first my skin seems really nice and cleansed and there's a definite change in pore size and no blackheads but after a few hours, my skin feels very dry before going very oily. I don't use moisturiser as i've not found a product which my skin hasn't reacted to. Are there any salicylic acid containing products which are gentle? Thanks :}
@RyubiRarefied it not the salicylic acid thats drying you out, more likely to be the cleaning agents (sulphates) in the face wash...Maybe use a less harsh face wash...maybe a wash off 'non foaming' cleanser instead? x
Hello Lisa :) I just finished watching both parts of this video, and I found it extremely helpful. As a teen I have continual acne, but my biggest concern other than the acne, is my redness that likes to show in my cheeks and nose area. Are there any products that you can suggest that I can check out or potentially buy to help me cope with the redness? It's extremely bothersome! Thanks xx
I have super oily skin, i'm Native American, so i've heard that having oily skin, in my future i'll have less wrinkles....Is this true? Also, i was pretty much scolded by a clinic counter lady because i'm 30 who looks like a teen and was wanting to purchase eye cream. I was a bit nerves about getting wrinkles under my eyes, Should I not worry about it?
@SuperSweetheart1980 yes you will probably wrinkle less but dont use that as an excuse to not protect your skin in the sun (when most damage occurs) with a daily SPF. I started using eye cream at 23 but you can start whenever you like....dont listen to the counter lady lol X
Hi Lisa! Do you know of any products that will reduce acne scarring? (or anyone on here?) I don't get breakouts anymore but I used to and have red scars... they're not severe (like indented into my skin) but it just looks like red marks... any help would be greatly apprieciated! thank you!
The salicylic acid is good for acne as long as you ar using it but if you quit using it, it will give you a rebound effect. I'm talking about the supermarket or drug store products, not about the professional or dermatological treatments. The supermarket products are simply teasing the acne, keeping it under control as long as you are using the product. Once you stopped using it, the acne wil strike back. As far as I know, it's gonna be forbidden and replaced with some other component.
Hi Lisa, I am currently a UK student and was wondering if you knew of a good eye cream which is cheaper than the SK-11 eye cream as its a bit too expensive ? Thanks LOVE your videos!!
Hi Lisa, I am currently a UK student and was wondering if you knew of a good eye cream which is cheaper than the SK-11 eye cream as its a bit too expensive ? Thanks LOVE your videos!!
I'd so love to know what you are wearing on your lips there. It's so pretty!
I can really relate to your story about your skin. I think we have exactly the same type of skin :D ...and I have also always used the products I use on my face also on my neck and chest. I get very spotty on my chest, so I feel like I need expert products there too. I love the salicylic acid exfolitors from Paula's Choice. I think they are good value too.
Hi Lisa! I have oily skin too and it has shocked me when you say that sometimes you feel your skin deshydrated!! How can i notice that my skin is deshydrated if is always oily??
Sorry about my English...I'm an Spanish girl but I'm working on it!!
Hi Lisa, just wondering with the salysylic acid in a cleanser, would you use that daily or would you reccommend to use that only once or twice a week?
I'd like to start using effaklar K. Is it supposed to replace my moisturiser? I'm 33, combination to oily skin. Just don't know how to combine it all plus sunscreen!
HI Lisa!!! I am so happy you made this video! I just discovered it. Have you ever used any of the Kinara cleansers? also do you think it's necessary to get the Kinara serum and the Caudalie serum? Or just one of them? thanks so much!!
Hi Lisa! I was wondering if you would recommend using the overnight clearing gel before or after moisturizer? Also, could you recommend any products for helping scars. Not deep acne scars, but lingering ones from a recent outbreak. I also booked an appointment at Kinara with Terry :) What esthetician do you usually see at Kinara? I am very excited!!! Also, the products you recommended have been working wonders for me! Thank you so much!!! Look forward to your next video!!!
so i recently started using bioderma's eau dermatologioque and I LOVE it. I have been under going a rather intense skin therapy that uses lactic/glycolic and bleaches for my sun spots and my skin was perpetually red and raw till i discovered this. It's so easy to use and calms down my skin.
I absolutely adore your philosophys on skincare and makeup in general! You have changed me from a thick foundation girl to making a light foundation and a touch concealer my best friend! It is a shame so many girls my age (17) cover up thier natural radience and dont realize they are robbing themselves of some amazing skin days. :) Thank You so much for sharing your knowledge with us girls on youtube!
Thank you so much, this was so helpful! Do you mind mentioning how often you get facials, and what kind of facials you get? How do you feel about extractions? Thanks!
Thanks so much Lisa, wow you're like an encyclopedia of natural dermatologist skin care. I want to be much more considered and selective over my skin care, and not use skincare from makeup brands, but go to specialists for authentic skin care. Yeah Paris pharmacies are an amazing source of proper skincare if you know what kind of ingredients you're looking for.
Dear Lisa, I am now using Shiseido skin products, but you never mentioned it in your "Skincare" videos, even though you worked for shiseido. Do you consider it is worth trying smth else? Thank you very much for your comments!
thanks a lot for the 2 videos!!! it's a lifetime that I'm searching for good, efficient products with really few results!!! I have the same identical "problems" that you have so I'll definely try the products that you've recomended!!! :))))
but I 'd like to try something else and I was wondering if you could give some advice. I have kind of dry but more like nomal skin type and worry about fine lines. I'm in my mid 30's.
Thank you so much... This information is priceless. I've taken notes to try some products. I have combination/oily skin and rosacea which makes my skin hyper sensitive. Besides, I'm allergic to salicilic acid so... I have to be creative in my skin routine. Lol, but it´s like you said, you have to pay attention to your skin because it talks in a very clear way, and if we listen, we will be able to treat it properly. BTW your accent is helping me with a recording I have to do in British English;)
Hello Lisa. I'm in my late teens now and wanting a good eye cream (preferably to prevent aging) that's also resonably priced? Would you be able to recommend one? Thanks so much and I love the video! :) x
Dear Lisa, I have got combo/oily skin with pretty defined pores on the other hand I´ve got to fight with pigmentations and sun damages on my face. Since you have tried it I was wondering if Alpha-H Vitamin C serum would not be too heavy/oily and make my pores more visible and deeper because I am thinking to give it a try too. Thank you very much.
You look very pretty in this video. I love your natural makeup. It looks so young and fresh. Please let us know what makeup your wearing or please do a tutorial on this look.
do you know of any cheaper drugstore (preferbly natural) exfoliators? i like what you say about not using scrubs so i want to find one as iv got very simlar skin to u lol x
I've just signed up to your website after seeing you on a number of other promos etc. Am loving your videos, especially this one - i know its focused on your own skincare, but am wondering what your thoughts are in terms of rotating different products for the same purpose? I use a few of the same products as you & feel like breaking them up at times - but wonder if that detracts from giving each product enough time to work their magic? x T
hi lisa! i foun u thru pixi2woo and i LOOOOOOVE ur videos! great tips and advice!! im dying to see your sunscreen video! im lookin for a good one right now ... its rele hard for me to find something cos i have oily and acne prone skin.. cant wait for ur advice on sunscreen!
Check out Paula's Choice 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid liquid. This one is so gentle there is no fragrance (I find fragrance irritates my skin) or anything that would upset my skin. Its kind of like your Kinara Spa product. This is the product that I cannot do without!
thank you so much for posting these! the most informative, helpful videos i've found yet. and from your description, it seems like we have the same skin type - and i loooooove using organic/all natural products. <3
i have a question actually, what do you think about clinique's dramatically different moiturizing gel? it's supposed to be just like the lotion one, but made for oily to combination.
this video, probably one of the most life changing for me. i've been to numerous dermatology doctor, but none of their suggestion suits me well. and they had cost me a fortune, i have exactly the type of skin with yours. thank you, thank you, thank you, i just can't thank you enough. :)
Great part I and Part II Videos I love a few of the products you just mentioned also I been using alot of Jan marini products and I am really happy with them I recently found and amazing skin wash that I will share really soon It is SO Amazing that even the most expensive that I have in my medicine cabinet worth 165.00 dollars cannot come close to it and the best part is ONLY 15.00 I cannot wait to show oxox Melinda
Lisa, thank you for your thoughtful videos and especially this elaborate skincare one. It's hard for me to find good and reputable gurus that I feel I can trust on YT and even harder to find ones that have the same skin type as me so these have basically made my week! I love your philosophy and I find that it's one I share. I anxiously anticipate your sunscreen recs because I can't find one that doesn't turn me into an oil slick and I desperately need a good one before my March trip to Mexico.
I again picked up loads of tips. A lady on the Estee Lauder counter once told me in Winter it's more important to keep my dry skin at bay than worry about my spots, so that's what I try to do. I use a thin coat of Bio Oil and then Avene Skin Recovery Cream. It seems to do the trick. Like you, I'm obsessed with eye cream and splashed out on Creme De La Mer but I'm not conviced by it. Oh well! Have you tried the Elemis Papaya Enzyme mask? That's really nice and smells like Heaven :) xx
you mentioned the product you use for developing spots by Dermalogica, but what do you recommend to use once the spot has surfaced? i.e. when it has already become a pimple
Same thing I assume. I use this product and I use it for spots that have formed and spots that haven't fully formed. I'm pretty sure she said, "it clears up spots overnight and it stops spots from forming" so yeah! A cheaper and also good alternative for acne is pure tea tree oil, which is also an ingredient in this product.
Oh you're very welcome! Tea tree oil is a bit strong by itself but it works well for me. It very much depends on your skin type. Sometimes I mix a bit of it (one drop) into my moisturizer and use it for all over, sometimes I spot treat. Another thing to note is that it has quite a strong medicinal scent so I only use it at nighttime. My face is oily/combo anyway so I don't like smearing it on my face for daytime. I'd also google the health benefits of it because it can be used for many things.
once again thank you for your insight! you have been a fantastic help :D i've watched a few videos here on youtube about it and it definitely is a holy grail for all kinds of ailments :)
Thanks so much for the skincare videos! It's wonderful to be able to get such a professional and carefully researched perspective into products. I would be really interested to see a video about products for different skin types (i.e. dehydrated; combination; dry...), too. I'm looking forward to your sunscreen recommendations... as well as to all your other upcoming videos!
@melanzanify Most of the websites that sell it still have old stock with the name Crealine but on the Bioderma website it is now called Sensibio. Dont worry either way, its exactly the same thing
I don't like using anti ageing products, I don't mind ageing with grace but I like to keep my skin hydrated, and that is my focus on my daily routine.
I have normal to dry skin, sometimes mix type, my skin changes all the time due to weather and food diet. Please do a skin care for normal/ dry skin in need of hydration.
Specially the tools we should be using, eg sponges, muesli clothes, mild scrubbers, or else. Thank you!
I think that while Lisa might have some tips on this that she knows oily/combo skin best because it's her own. Sam and Nic of pixiwoo have normal/dry skin so I'd suggest checking out some of their recommendations. They too are pretty honest, reputable people.
what lipstick are you wearing in this video? Please do the sunscreen vid and could you cover how you get around using a sunscreen, wearing make up over it and the need to reapply. Thanks
what are u saying is really true ...im 23 years old and i have bad skin ..acne,spots . sensative to the sun ... and i tired everything on the market but wt it working for me is the most gentle products i use cetaphil and im really happy with it .. and im looking forward for sun screen video ..im always on the hunt for the best one ....
Fabulous vid. Am going to try out that Darphin one.
I am a great believer in hyaluronic acid too - and look for products with this in. I've just made a vid myself about skincare and will post it on Weds - so feel quite on topic!
I feel I have a similar skin type to yours and agree with all of your tips, your approach is just so reasonable and convincing :) Thanks for your advice and product recommendations :)
Great videos -again :) I think I might try the Avene cleanser - my skin is prone to blemishes and very sensitive so I'm always looking for a perfect gentle cleanser.
Just like you, I don't like those regular scrubs, I use a daily microfoliant by Dermalogica that I love, but might have to try the exfoliant that you recommended as well.
Your videos are amazing, thankyou. I have the same skin type though also suffer from rosacea/thread veins . Is there a specific treatment you advise people to treat this condition. I'm currently considering ipl., but feel I really need impartial advice before I dive in :/
I would love to hear the name as well. My skin just like NaturalNeon described. I'm Alla_E in twitter. Please let me know the name of the dermatologist you'd recommend to see

I'd say my skin is sensitive and combination/oily but when i've purchased products that contain salicylic acid (such as the Vichy Purifying Cleansing Gel), at first my skin seems really nice and cleansed and there's a definite change in pore size and no blackheads but after a few hours, my skin feels very dry before going very oily. I don't use moisturiser as i've not found a product which my skin hasn't reacted to. Are there any salicylic acid containing products which are gentle? Thanks :}
RyubiRarefied 8 months ago
@RyubiRarefied it not the salicylic acid thats drying you out, more likely to be the cleaning agents (sulphates) in the face wash...Maybe use a less harsh face wash...maybe a wash off 'non foaming' cleanser instead? x
lisaeldridgedotcom 8 months ago 2
@lisaeldridgedotcom Thank you ^.^ Have you got any particular products in mind that I could try out?
RyubiRarefied 8 months ago
@RyubiRarefied look at the Avene extremely gentle cleanser maybe, massage in and use a cloth or cotton pad to remove then rinse with lukewarm water x

SuperSweetheart1980 9 months ago
@SuperSweetheart1980 yes you will probably wrinkle less but dont use that as an excuse to not protect your skin in the sun (when most damage occurs) with a daily SPF. I started using eye cream at 23 but you can start whenever you like....dont listen to the counter lady lol X

Hi Lisa! Do you know of any products that will reduce acne scarring? (or anyone on here?) I don't get breakouts anymore but I used to and have red scars... they're not severe (like indented into my skin) but it just looks like red marks... any help would be greatly apprieciated! thank you!
obCEAssed 9 months ago
The salicylic acid is good for acne as long as you ar using it but if you quit using it, it will give you a rebound effect. I'm talking about the supermarket or drug store products, not about the professional or dermatological treatments. The supermarket products are simply teasing the acne, keeping it under control as long as you are using the product. Once you stopped using it, the acne wil strike back. As far as I know, it's gonna be forbidden and replaced with some other component.

It's so easy to use and calms down my skin.

plz plz reply as a i want to buy this but the ingredients are confusing me

Thanks so much Lisa, wow you're like an encyclopedia of natural dermatologist skin care. I want to be much more considered and selective over my skin care, and not use skincare from makeup brands, but go to specialists for authentic skin care. Yeah Paris pharmacies are an amazing source of proper skincare if you know what kind of ingredients you're looking for.

good god!!! the eye cream by SK II is sooo expensive!! :o
but i really want to try it because you are speaking so highly about it... how long would you say one tube lasts if using morning and night?
also what you think abt applying 100% organic jojoba oil on the skin for misturising?

Thank you so much... This information is priceless. I've taken notes to try some products. I have combination/oily skin and rosacea which makes my skin hyper sensitive. Besides, I'm allergic to salicilic acid so... I have to be creative in my skin routine. Lol, but it´s like you said, you have to pay attention to your skin because it talks in a very clear way, and if we listen, we will be able to treat it properly. BTW your accent is helping me with a recording I have to do in British English;)

Hi Lisa,
I've just signed up to your website after seeing you on a number of other promos etc. Am loving your videos, especially this one - i know its focused on your own skincare, but am wondering what your thoughts are in terms of rotating different products for the same purpose?

ChooLove09 2 years ago
you mentioned the product you use for developing spots by Dermalogica, but what do you recommend to use once the spot has surfaced? i.e. when it has already become a pimple
vC8H10N4O2 2 years ago
Same thing I assume. I use this product and I use it for spots that have formed and spots that haven't fully formed. I'm pretty sure she said, "it clears up spots overnight and it stops spots from forming" so yeah! A cheaper and also good alternative for acne is pure tea tree oil, which is also an ingredient in this product.
eniigma 2 years ago
thank you so much for your advice and recommendations :) i will definitely look into tea tree oil.
do you just use it as a localized spot treatment, or an overall toner?
vC8H10N4O2 2 years ago
Oh you're very welcome! Tea tree oil is a bit strong by itself but it works well for me. It very much depends on your skin type. Sometimes I mix a bit of it (one drop) into my moisturizer and use it for all over, sometimes I spot treat. Another thing to note is that it has quite a strong medicinal scent so I only use it at nighttime. My face is oily/combo anyway so I don't like smearing it on my face for daytime. I'd also google the health benefits of it because it can be used for many things.
eniigma 2 years ago
once again thank you for your insight! you have been a fantastic help :D i've watched a few videos here on youtube about it and it definitely is a holy grail for all kinds of ailments :)
let the acne annihilation begin! lol

Thank you!
susanjun07 2 years ago
I think that while Lisa might have some tips on this that she knows oily/combo skin best because it's her own. Sam and Nic of pixiwoo have normal/dry skin so I'd suggest checking out some of their recommendations. They too are pretty honest, reputable people.
