  • In 8:37 : She should say: "Let's make love" ;-)

    Good review, thank you! :-)

  • It seems that the Green Star's juice is darker and less foamy... the extraction takes longer but I think it does extracts more nutrients.

  • Does anybody know if the Hurom is still considered a cold juicer? I'm a beginner with health issues, if anybody has any links or info it'd be appreciated.

  • @blakkorchyd yes its not centrifugal so enzymes remain alive

  • Every one says the best juicer is the one you're gonna use the most-that would be the omega vrt.

  • can't believe you didn't compare the quantity they produced

  • How about comparing the yields at the end you two?

  • They are like Yoko Ono and John Lennon. Of the healthy food.

  • wellllll now i KNOW i want to get the hurom :)

  • why dont you want fiber in your juice? I thought fiber is good for you?

  • Greenstar is without a doubt the best quality juice and you get the best yield..

  • The Hurom (or its cousin, theOmega VRT350HD)...are self-feeders...you don't have to push them down with the plunger.

  • Why do they strain all the fiber through a nut milk bag?

  • @auzores you can find hurom anywhere in world, it's just named different.

  • The glitches that you claim the units have are because of user error. You should not have to push down on the hurom (pushing down breaks it!) and it looks like u are overfeeding the greenjuicer. i dont know much about. opening the pulp knob looks like it helped; maybe it backed up!

  • dude, you sure as heck weren't pushing on that green star like that for 8 years!

  • I'm not english, could someone please write what vegetables they take at 5:00 ? It would be very kind :)

  • @missbs1 they're endives :)

  • Could someone tell me what that filter bag is? I couldn't hear the name over the hum of the juicers. thanks!

  • @tripleleo nut milk bag :)

  • when the celery was juiced i did hear this munching sound this must have been from the green star, but how does it makes its juice

  • You guys are the BEST!

  • Am I the only one who thinks this guy is a riot?

  • My big concern with juicers is the cleaning issue. I bought a cheap juicer along time ago and it was a pain to clean. Now I just use a 500W blender and a cloth strainer. Very little time is spent on cleaning. :-)

  • you forgot to show us the cleaning of juicers! :P

  • It only gets stuck because she's jamming those carrots in. If you let the machine feed itself it never gets suck

  • Just like on your video, I saw someone else strain out the fiber. Why? I never strained my juice, just drink as is. Is it something I should consider?

  • you should look at max gerson diet it's the best in the world

  • Could you use a vitamix and a nut milk bag for juicing?

  • I was very disappointed in how biased this video is - I have a Greenstar and while yes I surely admit it takes some getting used to and requires some effort, there are several important things to mention: 1) when you learn how to chop the food the right way for it, it is much easier to use 2) it *also* sucks down green leafy veggies! You just have to put them in correctly! The juice is delicious and tastes like pure health. This video did not at all give a partial review.

  • @TheMiriNetwork hey so you own a green star? will you recommend it for me ?like is it reliable and produce good tasting healthy juice? thank you

  • @guitarheroiv4 Hi - I don't know about all of the models out there, so it depends on what you want to be juicing, but for a little bit of everything the Greenstar is great. Like I said it takes getting used to - how thin or thick to chop each type of veg, make sure to alternate veggies while juicing, etc. - but once you get the hang it's a winner. The juice tastes absolutely fantastic and I have even had some 24 hours after juicing and it *still* tastes healthy and fresh. Good Luck :)

  • @TheMiriNetwork - impartial review you mean :S

  • @TheMiriNetwork Yeah the guy juicing with the Greenstar is purposely juicing like an idiot. Jamming the machine, and going slow on purpose too.

  • Hey, thanks for the demo. Somebody needs to invent a juicer that doesn't clog. What Dyson did for vacuum cleaners needs to be done with juicers. I've used juicers for 50 years (since I was 12 in my dad's healthfood store). Extractors, presses, masticators.... they all clog eventually, even the so-called self-cleaning ones.

  • i iuse green star everyday the last 3 years and i never has issues. there many factors whats better than the other. faster doesn't say its better!

  • Hi l see a lot of people showing plastic machine that are crap. The best is the ANGEL JUICER and l would have done all that food by now. look up the ANGEL on youtube thanks for your video.

  • Hi l see a lot of people showing plastic machine that are crap. The best is the ANGEL JUICER and l would have done all that food by now. look up the ANGEL on youyube

  • hi, pl let me know what you use for filtering the juice. love my hurom, lots of fiber though.

    thank you

  • btw the oscar 900 also is a pasta maker and minces meat the extras are in the box i havnt used them yet but im looking forward to making some home made pasta and top it off with some bolognaise made with some high quality meat.

even though im not 100% raw food i do eat a huge amount more fruits and vegetables than i have ever eaten.

Thanks rawfoodworld very informative videos youve taught me alot!

  • You've sold me on the Hurom. It will be my first juicer, so I cannot wait!

  • i dont understand, im doin the exact same thing whit my hurom, yet half of what comes out is foam!

  • so what do you do with the solids after juicing?

  • i love my hurom and my heartshaped jugs :) just gotta chop up the carrots and beets a bit.

  • Has anyone had problems with the base of the auger housing leaking onto the motor housing....juice running down the side of the machine during use?? I just got my new Hurom in the mail yesterday and I'm wondering if this leaking problem is "normal" for this machine, or whether I should return it.....?

  • @markpianoman Hi :) if you have the rubber cork in correctly, it shouldn't leak too much. i've only had a little bit of leaking, but it does happen..

  • I just got my new Hurom in the mail yesterday from Amazon and one of the juice/pulp containers is crack and it leaked around the base of the auger housing in 3 different spots.

  • @markpianoman Let me restate that more clearly. The auger housing leaks juice during the juicing process along the bottom where it attaches to the motor housing. Also...one of the juice/pulp containers is cracked.

  • The Green Star is huge, so glad I bought the Hurom!

  • oh, my god! they used a tripod!!! we can't hear you

  • why don't you want fiber in your juice?

  • poor matts struggeling a litlle.

  • Update: I've been trying different things and it doesnt seem to get clogged if you put the veggies/fruit in several at once and in quick succession. It must create enough force that way so things dont get stuck in the exit hole. I do love the low RPM and the ease of juicing.

  • Also worth mentioning that the pulp from this juicer isn't cut or broken up into very small pieces (thus not releasing all the nutrients). The vitamix cuts veggies up into much much smaller pieces. I know cause i've pressed both with the norwalk press. All said, I should mention that I do like the actual jucing with this juicer, it is easy how it sucks stuff down and it's actually kind of fun. If it weren't for the clogging, and issues, it would be worth it.

  • @calebbl Thanks for the comment, but it's a bit hard to follow. Which juicer is the one you refer to as 'this' juicer? Which one is the vitamix?

  • Then you have to take the entire juicer apart and clear the clog. Pretty annoying. Also had problems with juice leaking onto the base, not sure if this is a danger to the motor or not. There is also tons of pulp in the juice; I could forgive if that was the only issue with this juicer. Sadly that's not the case. Every juicer so far has it's issues and this one is definitely no exception. I own a norwalk, breville, greenstar, and hurom.

  • Got this juicer, was expecting a miracle juicer that could do it all. It has problems with pretty much anything getting stuck, because the exit hole inside is so tiny. I cut small and rotate produce and all, and the clogs still happen with greens, sprouts, celery, pineapple..even happened with grapefruit.

  • How do these 2 juicers compare in time and ease of cleaning?

  • Thanks for the vid! FYI, I understand The Hurom is pretty much identical to and made in same factory as The Omega Vrt 330. The main difference between The Omega and The Hurom is The Omega Vrt 330 carries The Omega Brand Name, and Omega has been around for decades, so should you have a need to exercise the warranty, the company will very likely exist down the road. Overall, I think The Green Star consistently yields more juice, but seems like a workout to use & more $.

  • why would you strain out the intestinal friendly fibre??

    Not a bad review.

  • Hurom is a masticating type juicer but better than many other horizontal masticating juicers. Takes less floor space, easy cleaning, fast juicing, no oxidation, requires no push (exceptssoft leafy vegetables).

  • Thanks for making this vid. couple comments/questions:

It's pronounced Hudom...Well, you sort of roll the "r."

Secondly, the manufacturer's vid shows it making soymilk, by putting in (I assume) cooked soybeans and water. Wonder how this would work with truly raw, soaked almonds?

I cannot imagine it would make almond butter.

Can you put ice cubes in it and make a base for "snow cones?" My kids like to do this with our Samson, then pour some juice on the ice.

    Thanks again.

  • wow, how can you disrespect your faithful friend, the greenstar like that.

I can give you some tips free of charge of how to juice with it btw :)

  • you guys look like you are ready to jump each other bones, I feel hot just watching how you guys look at each other. Its sexy!!

  • Have you ever weighed the pulp - to see which juicer gets the most liquid out?

  • LOL, dude, you ROCK :)!

  • No it doesent.

  • the green star gets more juice out of fruits and vegetables. It may take a little bit longer, but I think it is worth it.

  • The hurom seems way better then the greenstar I personally dont use juicers a whole lot, i use the vitamix then strain with a nut mylk bag. The greenstar isn't designed for fast jucing races, its deigned to give a very high quality juice. I have only used my greenstar a few times, i hate the way all the fruit comes out the top. It makes really good juice if you alternate the fruit/ veg as apposed to trying to juice the same fruit over and over again. Is the hurom easy to clean?

  • what does the hurom use as the mechanism to juice ? is it single or twin gears ? is it centrifugal etc.

  • I own both machine. I really like the hurom alot better than the greenstar. Both machine yield about the same ammount of juice, but the hurom juicer is alot faster, it does not struggle like the greenstar. Greenstar was my fav juicer, but damn this hurom kick ass. You just have to own the hurom to know what i mean. But my personal fav juicer is the norwalk juicer, nothing beats the norwalk juicer as of now.

  • Great show, though I would have liked to see a comparison of the juice yield between the 2. the hurom may be faster, but if the greenstar extracts more juice, i'd still go for the latter. thanks 4 the review and by the way, can the hurom do nut-butters?

  • I've seen the revie on the hurom juicer, and it's pretty cool. The thing is that I have a blendtec blender and I use that. Unlike my previous juicer, and the hurom my blender leaves no pulp behind. So I only use it when I need juice and pretty much drink in on the spot. So how does that compare?

  • I'm missing the funky lab coats:)

  • what about using a vitamix to make juice? You can strain the pulp out just the same and then you only need to buy one piece of equipment.

  • I've had mine for about a month now. I'm halfway through a 92 day juice fast, and this thing makes it easy as pie. I juice about a gallon of green juice in 15 minutes each morning.

  • oh wow! Definitely easier than the champion and green star.

  • Angela do you drink the fibre on your month long juice feasts?

  • thanks for much for that video! ive been anticipating it for a while. definitly set on the hurom. are the two juices equal in nutrients and measure though?

  • your videos just keep getting better! thanks guys! also-you look gorgeous Angela.

  • Matt! I'm surprised that your knocking the fermented foods! In my experience my digestive health totally benefits from them and I used to have poor digestion even as a raw foodist. I like to say I'm a fermented foodie sometimes ; ) You don't have to ferment with salt, & if you're using high quality salt then it's not an issue. I feel benefit from the probiotics/enzymes from fermented foods then when taking the powders. And I experience no bloating/negative effects from the gases.

    Much love!

  • i will get the Hurom too...I just got a breville..bad bad idea!! anyone wanna buy a brand new one? haha!

  • what's wrong with it?

  • its too fast, I want a slower juicer like the hurom..nothing at all wrong with it though

  • this vid makes me sad :s I invested so much money 5 months ago to get the green star that i think is great but too slow and hard to clean for an everyday use (i'm a busy woman) and now everybody talks about this hurom juicer that looks so easy and great. It's not very eco-friendly to have 2 juicers, is it ? i feel confused and a bit frustrated

  • I don't own either- so would be happy with either.... don't let it get you down! Enjoy it anyway!!!!!

  • i still love my greenstar :)

made some terrific juices today so no regrets.

But if i manage to save some money i'll give a hurom juicer to my boyfriend for his birthday (and then i can use both, hihi ;p )

  • @Skoglys rolf...

  • @Skoglys Same here - I saved for the better part of year for my Greenstar and while it produces a high quality juice, I wish I'd known about the Hurom and gotten that instead. Oh well!

  • Gurl, don't worry about it being eco-friendly, get a juicer that is right for you! You live and learn.

  • Thanks you two, best comparision I have seen yet. I want to thank you for all that you do and please keep it all coming.

    Love you both

  • What about the new Model and time it is good for?

  • This is the exact comparison I have been wanting to see! Thank you!

  • cool video...I was waiting for you all to measure the amount of juice yielded from each juicer for a comparison. maybe next time??? hopefully

  • cool. yep i getting hurom friday. thanks for the youtube deal on the goji berries guys. grr on the packing peanuts in the box. keep up the traveling videos. waves~~~

  • What about wheatgrass? Does this Hurom work well for it?

  • Good demo. I've got the greenstar and it doesn't do cucumbers very well like Matt demonstrated plus putting the two gears in alignment is a hassle. I broke my gears already $ 100 to replace.

  • haha U DID IT too!! :)))))))) but not "headless" at this time :)))haha good job!! i wish i have this juicer!! but i have no idea how to get slow juicer here, in Russia! Any ideas??
