the initial blast shattered my right arm broke my ribs and cracked my skull even through my body armor it was 3 155 Artillery shells detonated when the convoy passed a guard rail I was tailing a truck loaded with ammunition, explosives, spare weapons and MRE's the truck blew up the driver and assistant were incinerated. I made a full recovery and leave for Afghanistan

i know how you feel brother when I was in Iraq I was team leader. my humvee was hit with an IED. all soldiers in it were killed except me and my gunner. My gunners legs were blown off and I still have glass and schrapnel imbeded in my right arm neck and side the rest died on impact and to this day I still ask my self why me why did I get the medal why did I live, why couldn't I have taken those boy's place instead i think about it to this day and it happened during the initial push to baghdad

This is my husbands favorite song. He didn't want to be a cub scout leader much less a Cub Master. Doug ended up being a cub leader, Cub Master and now Scout Master for our sons troop. Doug also wasn't crazy about going to Iraq in 2004 but he did what he had to and did not say not me. Keni puts real life in his songs! This is an incredible song with so much meaning to our family.

I know Kenny and have used his songs in two of my videos. This was the single that was presented to bring attention to his cd FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS. He also was with the 3rd Ranger Bn in Somalia with TFR in Oct 93 when they had the big shoot out. After that he was in Blackhawk Down and We were young and Soldiers as a squad leader for Mel Gibson. Shortly after that he cut his CD.
