When Snow Patrol were good... Today they're GREAT! SP's getting better and better and their new album is the jewel in their crown IMO. They're really good back then but their songwriting quality is improving as they evolve. Honestly, those who say they've gone mainstream should get a life. I don't see anything wrong with going mainstream. Don't see anything wrong with embracing corporate labels either. Coz I think its stupid to restrain yourself as a musician just because you dont wanna go big.

This is the first time I have listened to this song. I love it. But I also love every album and mostly every song Snow Patrol makes. Maybe it's Gary's voice, maybe it's the lyrics or the instrumentals. But I know that they will always and forever be my favorite band. I hope they don't ever stop.

It's a matter of evolution. Where music is concerned though, there has to be tt unique factor regardless, allowing the listener to immediately identify the artiste/band. Snow Patrol R an awesome band & some of their new stuff is gd... It's just not as strong or impactful as their earlier stuff. I've noticed a shift from their signature sound, subtle but a shift nonetheless, and well...not liking it so much. For me, it somehow steals the emotion of the song but Gary's voice is always awesome.

I don't think Snow Patrol's mainstream at all.

The first half of Eyes Open was very mainstream, but the second half wasn't, and Hundred Million Suns is their best album yet, in my opinion.

they are not mainstream, its simply a case of mainstream coming to them. when eyes open came out who would have heard of snow patrol if not for the 1 song called chasing cars? you've got it the wrong way around in my opinion. If u look at their new CD there are old roots in there. Their music talent is simply expanding.
