Imagine, how awesome that these persons preserve and observe the old customs from the Central European town of Satmar (now Satu Mare, Roumania), where the Jewish community was established in 1623. The Lord preserve them, they have survived so nobly.
Can someone who knows what they are talking about tell me What the Satmars belive? I am sort of familiar with Chabad and the Na Nachs. The Na Nachs are coolest Jews I have ever met!
im latino and i work with these kind of people... they are very different from us.. but they still nice people... even though they are cheappp like you cant imagine lol everyone probably agrees
Why dont you get a dna test. You might be related to these people. I'm Mexican and I found out the Eastern European Jews were my ancestors. The DNA test costed me $299.99. My dads side came out Jewish and my mom's side came out Spanish and Indian, however my mom's dad also came out Jewish and German .
@odcoolshark75 so youre probably not Jewish, because your mother must be Jewish in Orthodox Judiasm to be Jewish. but....if youre interested there are 7 laws of noah you can follow to be a ritgeous non Jew!
@tutmankingasher I'm very familiar with the Halachah concerning the maternal line in Judaism and Noachide Laws. One thing that confuses me is that the Ethiopian Jews are accepted as Jews through thier fraternal line. They have the Cohen gene . I too have the Cohen gene through some Ashkenazi Russian and Belarusian Cohanim who were my ancestors. I am placed in haplogroup J1 in my fathers side and haplogroup B on my mothers side
@odcoolshark75 so it looks like your father is Jewish. Ethiopian Jews are traced by a fraternal lineage because it was always their custom. They did not have access to the Talmud all those years, unlike the Jews of Yemen, so their Judaism was quite unique. Judaism has much respect for minhagim(customs) and if it was an age old custom of the land, it is only well suited to respect it and accept them as Jews. If you are not ethiopian, than you still would not be Jewish unless converted etc.
