i had pet mice that did something similar like rolling over and over like they lost sense of balance. Its quite sad really but i think its a brain tumour
This mouse has obviously been poisoned hence the confusion in the brain about direction. If this wasn't the case then the mouse would have run away. People use poisons on these little creatures then either wonder why it's acting "weird" or think the behavior displayed is funny... It's the human who has the fucked up brain.
A field mouse with rabies wouldn't last more than a few min after the signs start showing, only larger animals can live a few days after getting it. Also, it might just have a really bad itch it can't scratch.... we have all had those lol

Generally, that behaviour is usually a sign that the mouse has been injured or poisoned.

@sushimagushi2 it's a deer mouse, not a field mouse. Grey or brown with a white belly.
