  • Don't for get, it was the American Hero Spiderman that inspired the idea of the Development of the Net Gun! abit of History for you.

  • I want this job

  • haha thats nothing compared to wat happend bak in the good old days over here in New Zealand good video though

  • and you guys have the kiwis to thank for this style of live capture back in the 70s we had what was called the venison wars where some crazy ass shooters and pilots started it and made massive money doing it in the roughest country and toughest flying conditions in the world

  • @crazeefella2000 Yes...yes we do! Thank you, the credit is all yours.

  • And we are still doing it!!! check us out..under Gordon Kane: The Kane Boys on Live Deer Capture

  • :O robbison

  • That's defiantly Jay Smith, and the character with the beer and the net gun is Corey. I've had the luck to fly with both of them in an R-22 and they are amazing pilots. This video is nothing compared to what I've seen in person over the last 4 years of Texas A&M Kingsville research captures, 250 bucks a weekend in Webb county TX. I've seen Jay trim mesquite tree tops with his tail rotor, and stand that sucker up on a tail stand and whip it right back around and net the deer. Great video!

  • lol thats a hek of a pilot.

  • Your tailboom should be braced at the 5th set of rivits... other than that, sweet!

  • Dam u can drive that helicopter!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2nd of all- I'm in my 1st year of Wildlife Management at SWTJC and I've been on 3 deer capture's so far. It is AMAZING. We fly with Holt helicopters but I'm sure it's the same experience. Definitely the biggest adrenaline rush I've got in my life!

  • 1st of all. I'd like to point out that those that are against it are inexperienced, uneducated, not in touch with the real world, sheltered....the list goes on and on. Until you've tried something. You can't be against it.

  • @rebavh09 Like child molestation?

  • this is what is wrong with you backwards fucks...got i hope you all die

  • I did this yesterday it was the best experience ever running up to a chopper carrying a doe off the basket and then switched over to packing the nets for the net gun just out of curiosity is that dusty holts crew?

  • I agree; it truly is an awesome experience!

    Smith Helicopters did the capture.

  • It sure was got another one next week. Which one are you in the video?

  • I'm the Videographer/Editor, so I managed to keep myself out of the video. I did get some great air time, shooting from a chase helicopter and from inside the cockpit; had the time of my life!

  • yeah we were using a R-22 as the net chopper and the R-44 to carry them to teh processing area we couldn't ride in the R-44 due to the weight justification of carrying a deer in the basket located on the skids and their was about 30 of us we had to due about 40 does it took around 7 hours due to the late start and not being able to sling load them

  • Just wondering if yall were on the king ranch when yall did this? If so cool because im gonna get to do this in 3 weeks over there. Great vid thanks for posting!

  • We were right next door to the King. You are gonna have a BALL!

  • Seems like a lot of trouble to go to just to fit a deer with a pair of earrings.

  • was that the deer's head they banged on the tailgate???

  • No, it was not.

  • Your Livin the Dream...Come join Our Groups!

  • why did they do that just asking.

  • Fly along and catch deer for research and relocation!

  • so hick but yet so awesome

  • Yeee Haw!

  • Nice clip with good flying sequences. I agree with thread091, New Zealand invention. Keep the clips coming.

  • No, that was invented in SW Kansas. In the 80's we didn't have all that "fancy" equipment, so we just used a fishing net and a trebuje. (First liar never has a chance.......)

  • Ha!

  • come on you guys dont pretend this is a south texas thing

its a new zealand invention this game good footage though stay safe fellas

p.s the net gun is our invention too but you can use it

    keep up the good work

  • Thank you!
