Carol Drinkwater, took me , on her travels . An insperational writer, a woman who in Australia, we call a" Tall Poppy". Her books made me smile , and weep , as she took me on a facinating and personal walk with her. She stands tall amoung writers, I loved all her books. She is a credit , to all woman writers.A Tall Poppy indeed!.
What a treat to see the house & ancient trees - I'm currently reading the illustrated version! It is an amazing personal story, and journey into the history of the eternal fruit.
You should DEFINATELY commission 'a year in an olive farm' series, as the book is so wonderful. And next, the series of 'The Olive Route', as it's a great idea to bring together the different cultures and countries in this time of trouble, to highlight the commonality of world cultures.
She's not just a greate writer. Carol has a wonderful voice as well!
