This game was really amazing and ahead of it's time compared to other snes games. The great sound track and the kind of dark theme in this game was an amazing mind trip playing as a kid. Being on an island in the middle of nowhere with creepy green sky's chasing a mad pirate up a dark eerie mountain was an great experience to play this. If you played the DKC series as a child you are very lucky such a wonderful time the 90's were for me anyway.

Pretty good review, but seriously? DKC2 has one of the most memorable soundtracks from a video game that I can remember. Grant it, DKC1's K. Rool battle music was better than DKC2's, the rest of number 2's music was far better, with level themes like from Bramble Blast, it was amazing.
It's not horrible. It's a great game and it was not difficult. In my opinion I thought it was the easiest, but that's probably because I played it more.

Pretty good review, but seriously? DKC2 has one of the most memorable soundtracks from a video game that I can remember. Grant it, DKC1's K. Rool battle music was better than DKC2's, the rest of number 2's music was far better, with level themes like from Bramble Blast, it was amazing.

This guy couldn't be more wrong about DKC 2 OR SMW 2 - they WERE BETTER than their predecessors, and a HELL a lot better than what he's talking. However, he does make an EXCELLENT point about the big N making games for the kid audience. Look at Phantom Hourglass and Minish Cap. Damn I really absolutely loathe Phantom Hourglass - I've never been bored out of my FUCKING mind so much by a game!

I think this guy thought wrong to when it came to customer appeal, because I know for sure that I ain't the only one who enjoyed this game and speaking of DKC2 music, it was WAY better than the original, in fact I found it to be quite improved than the original, though some of the original tracks from the first one are still okay.
