@zooharvard Very good video, but I believe that there is a new discovery facter about lightning. When I watched a video made by Mr2tuff /watch?v=0X5z8rySkOM I realised that lightening is producing hydrogen = water, charge and then following ignition path of hydrogen gas as the charge discharges through the water & producing Ignited hydrogen. Excellent for typical high-school level education, and I'll give you a Like for that. Personally, I'm lookin' for a bit more detail. Though I suppose I'll have difficulty finding much, considering how difficult lightning is to study properly.
So this explains the phenomena of lightning, but what of the thunderous rumbles that can be felt before a large bolt dischages? Whats happening in the sub-terranean? I'm curious of the acoustic aspects of lightning/thunder
