  • I adore both Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood - a real quaint and quite believable story ...

  • Sometimes you can love entire lifetime in only one day or a few-- and that is what happened here. It is better to loved and lost than never to have loved at all...

  • And by the way I don't understand how people can be so close-minded to dismiss a movie for showing a woman cheating on her husband when the movie itself doesn't talk about morality but feelings. If I wanted perfect orthodox characters I would look at some religious propaganda, this one talks about the human weaknesses and concerns of a human character taking human decisions.

  • This is my mom's favorite movie...

  • @sierraaawrr That's so great. It's my favorite too.

  • Movies like this encourages married women to cheat . Don't like your life , get divorced before you get a new one.

  • @bruce91250 Media is not responsible for people's actions.

  • @bunniegurl123 i disagree with that.

  • No, movies like these show the real life and feelings of people. She stayed, and gave her life to her family. If she would have left with the man, she would feel terrible, so she knew she had to end it. She took 4 days, and gave a lifetime of love, caring and hard work to her family. She gave up herself.

  • @heyyy185 AND SPOLIER ALERT , UNDER...

  • Meryl Streep is just the best :0)

  • A masterpiece that totally makes us forgget the famous actors behind the characters. Fantastic movie.

  • The movie is good, but it is sad because the woman cheats on her husband and that is NOT OKAY

  • @missisfreddiemercury The movie is so much more than that. There's underlying themes that I think you didn't pick up on. It's about a 'ONCE' in a lifetime choice/decision to be truly happy. The movie goes beyond relationships. You can apply the theme to any aspect in life. In the end **big spoiler ahead** she decides that her family is more important to her than her relationship with Kincaid and sacrifices her personal dreams for her family.

  • @jackjr1 well, I watched the film and I understood the POINT of the film, but it still made me uncomfortable seeing her cheating on her husband, that's all

  • i love this movie so much!

  • does anyone know the name of the song of the trailer?

  • @MrGianna21 For All We Know by Johnny Hartman

  • This movie is pretty much the suckiest movie ever.

I hate it so much that I just felt that i had to leave a comment about how much this movie really sucks.

    And this "trailer"?

    What the fuck?

    This is not a trailer.

People who watches this movie and likes it are pretty much girls/women over 45- 50 years old.

    I hate movies like this.

  • @Stinzon i'm 18 a and i love it

  • @Stinzon

I am 21 and I adore it. Get those stupid prejudices out.

This movie is one of the purest representations in fiction of what falling in love means for a woman who has built a life with another person, how it can shatter her preconceptions of life and make her aware of her insatisfaction, as well as trying to build hopes up in a dream that wil never be true, because the problem is routine and that brief encounter gives her the illusion of rediscovering something she'd lost years ago.

  • One movie that I am not gonna forget in a looooooong time !!!!! Specially because I saw it with .............. a good company !! Thanks .......you !

  • Let me get this straight. The female character cheats on her husnabd and somehow it's ok? oh that's right, women don't cheat they get in touch with their inner self by "getting it" somewhere else.Only men cheat I see....... What hypocrisy.

  • @julie1300 I think this speaks for ALOT of women, who lose identity, that are no longer treated like a woman. They are treated more like housekeepers, cooks, but not sexual human beings.Beautiful movie

  • Go, Iowa where this was made. Sadly, not much as change lol. Just for the record there aren't much bridges here cover like that either.

  • @tobygirl416 I've been to Iowa. I know there are a couple covered bridges. However, one of the bridges they used in the movies was burned down after the movie.

  • @bunniegurl123 oh no! arson?

  • @bunniegurl123 why theyre burn that bridges...???
