  • Where's your kill switch? Shoulda asked that before you drove like a noob.

  • @Ireg2post1 He drove fine untill he oversteered. DUmbshit, i bet you cant even drive that well.

  • kill switch

  • the ending running on the road again is priceless

  • damn it man. wheres your kill switch ?

  • THIS IS BRIAN PEPPERS DO A BARREL ROLL!

    poor MR2 :(

  • SAVE THE 3SGTE!

  • Well, here is the scoop...

I barely touched the curb/apex for about 15" with the LF, causing the RR to unload and slide. Felt like black ice. I steered/corrected to avoid THAT tree. Then caught the next tree with LR, ripping it off, and causing the barrel roll.

Anyway, check out this years run!!

    PAGODA 08

  • its because he brake while he was turning

  • probly not but just as bad a driver though

  • this isn't the same MR2 that you have crashing into a Jetta is it?

  • MR2's are great cars and as robzerio said they are very well balanced but due of the Mid engine, if you loose traction (and you are tyring to grip) it is near imposible to recover the turn.. I own an MR2.. and i love it..

    GT35R powa!!

  • where the fuck is your kill switch dammit!!! hahah

  • dumb driver

  • WHAT THATS BULL SHIT! Mid-engined cars are the most ballanced.. Like DUH Hence all supercars/Lemans Racers are what? MID ENGINED.. Now if its an Old Porsche then Yeh its VERY HARD TO DRIVE.. But over the years they have gradually put the engine further forwards to make the handling more ballanced.. Duh Wheres the kill switch.. haha!

  • You cant get much slower jesus.. MR2's are crap.. Get a TVR!

  • I saw that coming D: the moment he was entering that corner the weight shift was sudden, kinda like a drift xD cept into the left bank

  • Damn I'm surprised this made it to youtube. This is at the duryea drive hill climb in pa. I was there that day.

  • Shut the hell up.

  • I don't want to start an argument, let me say that first. I'd just like to add that a friend drives an MR2 & loves it, has no problem with it.

  • The hardest car to drive I've ever experienced.

  • lol me 2

  • Crap drivers then..

  • fucking dumb americans

  • Duh Wheres the kill switch huhhh huhh duh! I AGREE!! Bunch of monkeys! lol

  • snap over steer is a bitch, good thing he is ok.

  • it's not snap oversteer, this was liftoff oversteer with slow reaction

  • HOLY SHIT! SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. but i flew off a 70foot cliff rolled bounced and landed upside down. it was in my 240sx s13 with a ka24de. Loose gravel on the road caused my crappy worn out tires to lose traction and i flew off the cliff.

  • after he braked...let of the throttle and at the same time steered

  • The reason he spun out was because when he turned he braked and let off throtle which causes MR cars to spin out. Also, Speed was an issue.

  • It's called running out of talent

  • Not only is this car RWD it's mid engined, it's VERY sensitive to changes in throttle, a quick miscalculation on the gas can result in almost uncontrollable oversteer. The pivot point of the car makes reflexes really important if you lose traction.

  • I know a guy who has never lost it, drifting his MR2 every week.

  • Yeah this guy didn't know how to drive at all......he needs to work on smoother footwork and countersteer.

  • Totally agree, if you don't have it, then don't try it!

  • well and also Mr2s are not balanced very well because of the motor located in the mid/rear and once you lose control of them they are very difficult to control. They are also very twitchy around corners. but hey everyone has to learn from their mistakes. I know i have lol :/

  • Hmmm looking at it again it feels as if the driver saw the turn straighten out and opened up on the throttle too much. The turbo kicked in and spun the wheels while he was turning.

  • I wonder if it was because the road was uneven, or if the turbo kicked in. The MR-2 doesn't take much to oversteer. Could even be something as simple as the driver lifting his foot off the gas pedal too fast.

  • Where's the kill switch?

  • no countersteer ?

  • i have 1 of these cars, the turbo version, now i guess theres 1 less in the world, oops :(

  • If that was an NSX he would stick to the road like a sticky mouse trap

  • shut up, nsx is like the crappiest car to go on a road rally race.... moron

  • fucking red necks learn how to drive fucking bitches go fuck ur sisters dick head wasting a mr2 like that shame on u motha fucka

  • Sorry bud, your GT4 and Need for Speed driving experience doesn't make you an expert.

  • nice gearlever

  • Just a bad approach angle.. I don't think there is much more than that..

Well if you have the money for it I suppose its okay.

  • that truely sucks.. looks to me that maybe he wasnt expecting the change in wieght transfer coming up that hill and that possibly threw the rear end out.

judging by how he was doing on earlier hairpins, it looks like he jumps on the throttle a lil too early esp in a low gear, resulting in tirespin/oversteer.

  • damn so many people flip the deuces, i found that the hard way myself, then i got another 1 and dont plan on doing that again. Such an amazing car, gotta have a lot of experience before u do any crazy sh*t, not a car for an amateur and i agree w/ u christofurg, he is a good driver. MR2 #1!!!!

  • damns

  • As I said, he is probably a better driver than all of you. He was not a novice at the "track" he was at "ndskies" (that wasn't even a track, it's a public road closed off for race use). He's been racing that hill climb for quite some time. He was going too fast into the turn, and probably steered a little late. Regardless, who cares... he was being competitive and can afford to be as such, he has more than one MR-2. Also, who said he got a S2000? He still races MR-2's?

  • i'm confused as to why he crashed. Cruve wasn't that sharp. Like the 90's he was taking on earlier. He had a bad approach on that small curve. Too far left.

  • So you crashed the MR-2 and got a S2000... :P

Surprised you didn't end up in a fireball...

Ah well... At least its the MR2... In S2000 if that happened I think you would be dead.

  • He should of known this from the beginning. The pre 91 Mr2's have more of a tendency to do this. The 93's and up got a suspension revision, so they're less prone to oversteer.

  • Funny part is he's probably a better driver than all of you.

  • I would agree but the curve he was on was a slight one and he was too far left. Bad approach he was a novice on that track.

  • I was expecting a sexy explosion when he said "it's leaking gas" ...

Well... At least there wasn't any sexy explosions.

  • Where's the kill switch lmao, crazy shit, If you can handle an MR2 you can handle any type of sports car.

  • whats a killswitchlol

  • i didn't know my mr2 can do that.

  • yup i found that out the hard way with my other mr2. but i wont do that with my new one. check out my vids of my mr2. not crashing thow. lol

  • yeah i agree with mathew i have an mr2 and have been that fast but i never would do somthing like that.... thats just crazy though. glad hes ok.

  • ah hahahahah... that was fucken stupid. hahaha.... come on man! its an fucken MR for crying out loud. oversteer king. dont even try to get to close to the inside. especially gutter running. thats why it spun. too close to the inside curb, there's a dip there too.

  • So where IS the kill switch?

  • especially mid ship cars.

  • mr2's are so oversteer-y.

  • It's the characteristic of any RWD sports car driven to the limit.

  • Was it a convertible?

  • Heh... nevermind... t-top...

  • Its a convertable now...
