I had a problem with the Audio when I installed Windows 7! Althought the box of my NEW motherboard was saying "Windows 7 Ready", I had no sound! Finally, I downloaded a Driver for the Audio Card and it worked... I did that in November!

to all the ppl who are saying that windows could not find the audio device, this means that ur audio driver is to old for windows 7 or vista, so wat i would say is, if u downloaded 7/vista from a torent, then reinstall xp or wtever u had before, but if u actualy payd for it, then i would go to a local computer repair man an get him to sort it for you.

um, im not totaly sure, but it sounds like u have over heated ur sound card :S n if u hav, the only thing u can do is restore ur computer. but dnt do that coz i not sure

Then it wasn't overheating... Overheating is a hardware problem... Restoring your computer is for software problems.

um A. estore meens wipe ur computer n reinstall windows + all ur drivers 'encludin sound :) ' and B. if it is dodgy even with headphone then it defently over heated sound card, but i suggest u go 2 a local computer shop 2 get it properly cheked out, coz i not 100 percent certain.

My suggestion is try using the back of the computer for the green port. Its a more direct connection to the sound card. The problem with the buzzing is most likely a connection issue. And If your already using the back try the front port. And if that doesn't work, Try a sytem restore (not the start up one, the one you go to in the start>acessories>system tools) and set it back a bit. Another thing is try to move anything else electronic away from the speakers. There may be some kind of feedback.

that doens't work because windows will install wrong drivers because your motherboard doesn't support that OS. you got to manually download drivers.

i couldn't find uninstalled drivers for device, every device had newest drivers but no sound

if ur drivers are fully updated, then the onnly other explanation is ur drivvers are NOT compatable with the latest versions of windows, so either upgrade ur computer and buy new sound cards and shit, OR switch back to xp or watever operating sistem u where on before. hope this has helped!
