  • Thanks for your comment. I think Frank did sing this song. I do know Rod Hull didn't originate it.

  • steam punk disciple also broght me here... I still don't know if it's the correct reference though.. I think frank Sinatra also sang a song with similar lyrics..

  • Steampunk disciple from HoN brought me here

Why is my comment not approved? oO

  • Steampunk disciple brought me here.

  • Glad you like it . This is a truly wonderful performance..

  • I agree with tigerstripe...wonderful performance...love those kids' voice...and of course, thank you Mssrs. Van Heusen and Burke for writing the absolute perfect song for them...this should be put in a time capsule....

  • I agree with tigerstripes...kids like these singing ALWAYS make anyone feel betterr...but this Van Heusen-Burke is just SO delightful...sounds like it wrote itself...I can't find the Sinatra version on YouTube...but this is an excellent substitute!!! KUDOS!!!

  • @1948BigCy My bad...I think it was Mr. Sammy Kahn who wrote these wonderful lyrics, not Sonny Burke...sorry..

  • This makes me feel ridiculously happy and carefree whenever I hear it. WIsh it was longer.

  • Hold on , i'll be back in a moment theres something wrong with my t.v.'s reception

  • We have to do this song for our concert this year!!!

  • pink is manl

  • i have to sing this for my concert today

  • that hand puppet creeps me out

  • I got this song Stuck in my head >.>

  • it's sad how rod hull died, i'm sure he'd still be about with emu today if was still alive as a massive cult figure

  • ive got my red top hat, coat, boots and a poket full of miracles

  • i was fortunate to watch kids tv in the mornings in australia when emu lived here, about 1970.He would enjoy to spin the prize wheel every morning and never once did he attack miss marylin, the hostMy favorite emu attack was during the royal command preformance.WEhen the queen mother came to greet the line of performers, she stood in front of emu, holding a boquet. He shredded them to peices and scattered them on the floor.

  • That would have been so wonderful to see.

    Thanks for your comments.

  • Some of the recordings are not too good. It is the original tape quality. I am going to put them all on a DVD this year. They should be a bit better than they are on YouTube.

  • The Quality of your videos is definately working-keep up the hard work

  • I agree. Wonderful man. Isn't he just like a 'Tommy Steele' ?

  • Aww Gawd bless Rod Hull - so kind & so talented & so missed
