Oh and the fact that Ireland is 'bankrupt' has nothing to do with the euro but with the real estate crisis. The euro actually stopped it from being worse. If the Irish still had their pound everyone would have fled out of the irish pound into safe currencies like the euro or dollar and the irish pound would become worthless overnight. And what do you think that means for savings, attracting investors, etc...? Not to talk about Irelands debt that would still be in euro's.

I wish to know how UKIP stand on the view that a referendum at this point is not what is needed. I've read in several sources that say given the illegality of the six treaties;

• That they only should be struck off because of their illegality in regards to ceding powers to a foreign party or organisation.

• A referendum on them would lend them credibility were there should be none.

• The instigation and implementation of them is treasonous.
