Btw, Fender Super Sonic is an amazing amp for stoner metal and doom if you play through a Les Paul. The amp has a huge range of sound due to the 2 gain knobs plus a Fat Tone that can be turned on and off. Plus they are tube so they sound great. And you can also play them through any cab you want so you can get a huge cab.
@andisch71 The fuzz factory and Orange AD30 go together like bread and butter, it doesn't work as well with the TT. It does a good job, but it's a little messy sounding. Not as clear.
@otusqueeky1 I've heard that the FF isn't huge on the low end, but this video seems pretty chunky to me. What are your settings here? I play in two different bands, one is more of an old-school metal/hardcore/experimental band that would need a pretty meaty ass fuzz. Do you think this could cover a chunky, almost Muff-like sound?
@jacobtheguitarfreak It doesn't have that much low end, but it can always be changed through the amp's EQ. The fuzz factory can do pretty much anything, but it requires a ton of patience to get the right tone.
@otusqueeky1 One last question, and thanks for being so helpful so far! Does this work well for live use? I've been getting pretty mixed reviews on that one
@MKdivine I think it's the angle of the microphone. It sounds amazing in real life cranked. I haven't tried a Matamp yet though, I really wish I could crank one up with the fuzz factory.
@otusqueeky1 I wasn't sure if you were referring to Dead Meadow when you mentioned the Big Muff Pi + the Orange AD30.. I'm sure it's a more popular combination than I realize.
@flownomis Jcm 800, damn. Well I dunno dude. A big muff pi tone wicker should've done the job. Toner Low, one of the fuzziest and heaviest bands I know use a big muff pi through a really old Orange amp.
i have a Gibson LP Std. Trad. Pro, an Orange AD30HTC with 4x12 Marshall cab and the Electro-Harmonix graphic fuzz pedal = sludge/drone is born. keep on stoning man
Well this video in particular was recorded with my mac's webcam microphone, that sucks dick. But usually I record my songs with a very very high quality instrument microphone. I don't remember the name of it though...

@Metalwurst666 British Tube Amps like Orange and Marshall are the way to go. You might want to put a fuzz in front of em like this guy did.

i think it's too compressed and too spongy sounding.
try the FF with a matamp and you get much clearer and more defined fuzz tone.
the AD30 just has not enough headroom

@hotfudgemoney Oh I think I said Toner Low. The guitarist runs a Big Muff Pi through an old Orange with very little gain.
Although Dead Meadow of course is an amazing band!
