you should listen to a real rock band like the jonas brothers, who are these guys, if you want to really listen to some good music try lady gaga or kei$ha, and Scotty McCreery from american idol is a real singer who is this glen hughes guy lame
Just listened to BCC full album & i really like the mix of excellent writing, great musicianship it just so works, will be following these guys, decent rock has been crying out for this so look out!
Truley a New Super Band in the Making. These Established, Proffessional Musicians Will Bring Music/Rock back to where it should Be. I Wish them a Long and successful future. I will be listening for More.
This is probably the best mix of great musicians with much history and experience to come together in a long time. Bonamassa's success will surely help BCC's exposure, and once someone gives them a listen, they're hooked. Fabulous, and much success! Can't wait to see the group live. Thanks for posting. Jealous I wasn't there.
Glenn Hughes once tha bass player and vocalist on DP that had make really good music but with very few succes compared to similar artist...like many others drugs ruined his life
@andresc228 - I think that Glenn would say that drugs very NEARLY ruined his life.... but , I can personally assure you that he is alive and well, sober and clean, and at the top of his game. He is gifted, great, and, most of all, extremely grateful.
@andresc228 I wouldn't say drugs ruined his life... he claims to have spent over a million pounds on drugs... if thats what it takes to sing and play like him...
and he's playing with Joe bonamassa and Jason Bonham, thats not a ruined life! ;)
Was this at the newly renovated Fox Theater by chance?? I cant believe played in my hometown (RIVERSIDE) and I wasnt there. Doesn't help not knowing of them until very recently though does it :/ Man, I would of definetly been there had I known of them last year! Bummer...
@azharkamal You mean THEY are ALMOST right up there with him! Only Glen can still hit all of the amazing range as he's always done... (And I doubt that he would have said screw all of my fans - I ain't doing another Led Zeppelin Tour!! Just because the whole world was BEGGING for one... It's been 30 years - even his sister performed at Bonzo - Groove Remains...) I could NEVER understand WHY DAVID COVERDALE was even there in Deep Purple when they had Glen... Listen to Burning Up Japan - G. Hughes
I feel Richie Blackmore should be playing on that stage, and give me Joe Bonamassa playing his solo work, which I feel is better. I think Joe sounds way better on vocals, but I do Love Glens pipes. he shows he's still got them too. I saw Joe Bonamassa at Albert Hall, and that show just can't be beat. I do Love Jason's drum work. I am very pleased to see him jamming again. It's to bad Jimmy didn't put Zeppelin back together. Thanks for a great video. this is my favorite D.P. tune.
@thebluesrockers Ritchie is not onstage for largely the same same reason that Page didnt put Zeppelin back together .Blackmore and Plant are no longer fans of loud rock and roll apparently . Maybe they ( Plant and Blackmore ) should get together and make a midieval neo -classical- bluegrass- folk album .
@Cincinnatus1869 that would be cool. if it was done right. you maybe on to something with your reply to my comment. I saw Richie in an interview yrs. ago. he was talking the same thing you mentioned. he said he wasn't going to play Rock and roll anymore. he was also with a woman who appeared to be a gypsy woman .I did hear Blackmore's son plays, but I've never heard anything from him. have you by any chance? @thebluesrockers if I am not mistaken Blackmore is playing in a band with his wife doing gigs playing ancient minstrel music or some kind of world music . I am not sure if he is still doing this and have not heard it personally but from what i have read it is most certainly not rock and roll .I do like alot of world music and even Appalachian music like Plant is doing but I have not heard much of his recent stuff either .
@thebluesrockers As far as I know Blackmore doesn't wanna have anything to do with rock anymore he's into renaissance music but it'd be awesome to have him back
This is one of The very Best Songs all over ! And take a look whos on Stage , J.Bonamassa, Glen Hughes, Jason Bonham usw. It has to be good , very good :)
Not bad but not as good as the original. The drums especially lack the feel of the original. You could tell it's definately not Ian Paice on the drums. The California Jam was the best live version. Yes I know Dio did a great job but the Cal Jam still is better because the band was better.
Although I have to admit Joe does a great job on this.
I saw Mistreaded performed by Deep Purple back in 74. I Loved it, I was amazed. I am amazed now, that a younger guy performs with an old hero an plays the guitar the even better than our age stars. Thx Joe

I was at the show last night in San Diego at The Balboa Theater. UNBELIEVABLE! The new drummer is amazing. I was wondering if you were there, and if so, if you made any new videos? Joe went on at exactly 8:00 and didn't stop until 10:15. He tore the roof off of the joint! The new stuff is AWESOME, with Slow Train leading the way. Take care, talk to ya soon. Johnny Joseph
@chitownbluesy - I'm sorry to say that I've missed all of the initial shows of this new tour. I've been ill for several weeks and just didn't want to risk a setback. I've heard nothing but great things and am pleased to hear another glowing report from you as well. I'll miss Bogie terribly, but know that Tal is quite capable, to say the very least. Nice guy too! I've actually seen him play with Joe before, but that's another story, for another time and place. Take care, Johnny. :) L
These guys remind me of Humble Pie rocking the Filmore. Even better. Yikes, how many people alive can hit those notes? Speaking of notes, Joe Bonamassa is already moving to the top of the legend's totem pole.
FUCKN' AWESOME... good job libby. Gotta tell ya though the video of Joe & Hugh at the Guitar Center Blues competition was when I saw something percolating, really glad they have put this band together... oh yeah .... gonna see Joe here in TU-CHON 2.22, 7th row center .... oh yeah! JAMINBEN
@BENJAMIN7a - Being there, at the House of Blues that night for the G.C. King of the Blues competition and seeing Joe and Glenn together in person was........ life altering. I'm so grateful I had my camera rolling then too!! Have fun at your show!
It's Johnny from Solana Beach. This is sooooooo AMAZING, I have not stopped playing the disc or the vinyl since it came out. Going to see Joe at both The Grove and down here in San Diego next month. I keep tellin' ya I'll buy ya a drink at a show, so make sure we say hello, cause I know you'll be at both!
Love Joe's blues. Hated this. Hughes is a BAD imitation of Robert Plant and does a lot of ridiculous posing. A lot of loud chords doth not a good song make. Sorry Joe see ya when your playing the blues. Hope you get over this soon. My opinion.
This is exactly what music should be about, ok so it's an old song but who cares? These guys could play nursery rhymes and still show more soul, passion and pure talent than the Biebers of this world could ever dream about.
Its amazing that Glenn Hughes can still hit these notes. He is one of the few singers from the 70's that can still pull this off. Bonamassa also rocks.
No I think old fashioned like Allan Holdsworth, Brand X, Hendrix, Page. You know. Guys that play in an original way with exiting riffs. Not a load of old bland cliches.
...and to think there are poor, soulless creatures who don't like this. I'll take Glenn Hughes' screaming over the utter, mindless, cookie-cutter dogshit that passes for music these days. This is brilliant.
@pobinr No, you're supposed to be impressed by a band that plays with soul and feeling. But I guess if you think modern dogshit,...er. "music" is great you have no soul anyway. Please go back to your shitty so-called "music" and leave talent and soul to those of us who have it.
Damn Glenn Hughes sounds like pure shit. Way too damn dramatic. Too many WOO WOO WOO WOO's. When he screams it makes me hurt right behind my eyes like someone is scratching on a chalkboard.
Riverside??? WTFudge??? I was living near at this time in HEMET, see my youtube name......what venue was this played at? I live in San Diego now, got tickets for Joes SD show in Feb, row H weeeeeeeeee

Same amazing vibe as When the Levee Breaks. Where did this guys Hughes come from? He is incredible. Also, Im sick to see this was filmed in MY TOWN. Ouch! How did we miss this?
Amazing how Hughes easily hits this high notes just like in the old days. And he is 58 years old. And then you look at a slowpoke like Jon Bon Jovi who is 10 years younger and not even able to sing his high notes from the 80s.
the smartest move joe could make was hookin` up with such a monster legend as glenn hughes (good move joe!) i saw trapeze in 73 and glenn has been one of my favorites ever since! (not to even mention deep purple) good hard classic rock is STILL ALIVE AND WELL! i love it!
@Cameron4963 I am torrenting the album, only till I can get to a CD shop!! I'm gonna buy all of Joe's stuff, and all of Glenn's. This one won't be seeded!
I think this rocks. i am unfamiliar with the singer. I am led to believe he was once in deep purple. I like blues based rock, This group will probably be a great live act
@grifftrain- Hughes was one of many who went and left Purple over the years, so in a way you're right. But this won't last long unfortunately, 'cause Bonnamassa has his own thing going on. I hope I'm wrong, but that's the way it usually works. Too bad...
Why Glenn? Why did you want to mistreat one of the most beautiful song of the Purple? You could do without, especially after the great performance of Coverdale and Dio
@abominations i never was a great fan of deep purple, but you´re wright i´m ashamed of my self for not recognising him, but i still think he´s a shitty singer
Can't wait to see them at the seceret gig in London tonight. I am also interviewing the band for my radio show. I get to chat to them tomorrow, with the interview going out on Thursday23rd Sept on Phoenix Radio
Awesome my friend,so glad you posted this,i`ve been listen to them alot on planet rock the last two weeks,i have pre ordered the album which comes out here today/tomorrow,cant wait to blast that out loud and heavy,,They are playing a gig in a secret location somewhere in London tonight, and it will be broadcasted on planet rock radio station tonight at 21:00...check it out i cant wait..
I really like this mix man! Now this is what Chickenfoot was trying to do!
A true superbadass group that included Bonamassa and Bonham? I'm all in and can't wait to hear more! I suprisingly like the vocalists range and screeches and I just woke up man! There is going to be a lot of amazing songs from these four. Awesome!

You guys are going to be brutally good when you gained just an inch more experience on stage! Very cool performance!

Same amazing vibe as When the Levee Breaks. Where did this guys Hughes come from? He is incredible. Also, Im sick to see this was filmed in MY TOWN. Ouch! How did we miss this?
boogiemaam 1 year ago
@boogiemaam He played in Deep Purple in the mid 70s
ajmo1 1 year ago
Amazing how Hughes easily hits this high notes just like in the old days. And he is 58 years old. And then you look at a slowpoke like Jon Bon Jovi who is 10 years younger and not even able to sing his high notes from the 80s.

Wow, Bonham & Sherinian kick some serious ass! Don't like Bonamassa here though, he doesn't feel the song, and his tone is awful.
artnaz 1 year ago
@artnaz I must admit, he doesn't capture the song like Ritchie Blackmore did.

the smartest move joe could make was hookin` up with such a monster legend as glenn hughes (good move joe!) i saw trapeze in 73 and glenn has been one of my favorites ever since! (not to even mention deep purple) good hard classic rock is STILL ALIVE AND WELL! i love it!

@Cameron4963 - Good choice. SUPPORT THE ARTISTS whose work you enjoy and believe in. Simple as that.

@Cameron4963 I am torrenting the album, only till I can get to a CD shop!! I'm gonna buy all of Joe's stuff, and all of Glenn's. This one won't be seeded!

These guys rip! Too bad this is just a side project for Bonnamassa, cuz this will be a 1 or 2 off project, then it'll be history. What a shame!!!

@libbysvideos - I sure hope you're right! It would be a shame to see this line-up go to waste. Thanks again...
scottkernperry 1 year ago
@scottkernperry Don't think so...They're touring in '11, and if you heard Glenn talk, it sounds like he's serious about keeping this train rollin'...
jimistreets 1 year ago
@scottkernperry you'll be surprised then.
bccommunion 1 year ago
Excellent band indeed. The Ian Gillan shrieking is annoying though... Glenn has always had a tendancy to show-off. Pity

I think this rocks. i am unfamiliar with the singer. I am led to believe he was once in deep purple. I like blues based rock, This group will probably be a great live act
grifftrain 1 year ago
@grifftrain- Hughes was one of many who went and left Purple over the years, so in a way you're right. But this won't last long unfortunately, 'cause Bonnamassa has his own thing going on. I hope I'm wrong, but that's the way it usually works. Too bad...

Glenn Hughes is the king of vocals, totally awesome.
He,s still on the top after so many years, incredible.
guitarplayer67 1 year ago
Why Glenn? Why did you want to mistreat one of the most beautiful song of the Purple? You could do without, especially after the great performance of Coverdale and Dio

Joe and Jason? Hell yeah. The vocals, however, sound like Whoopi Goldberg getting pounded by Danny Glover in The Color Purple.

Awesome!
