oh god if you let me choose the year where I like to live or born,I born in 1988 and I miss a lot of the fun in the great 80s ...Nowdays music is really a shame comparing with the music of 90s and 80...
Love the 80's,but where is Scorpions-Still loving you,Bruce Springsteen-dancing in the dark, ina Turner-What's love got to do with it,Lionel Richie-Hello,Queen-I want to break free,Bryan Adams-Run to you;Heaven,Madonna-like a virgin;Frankie Goes to Hollywood-The power of love,
Prince and the Revolution-Purple rain,Laura Branigan
Nik Kershaw-I won't let the sun go down on me,tears For fears-Shout,Mike Oldfield_to France,Wham-last Christmas,The Cars-Drive...it´s not fair,is not
The crazy thing is while this list has good songs on it I would not say it has the top 10 songs, 1984 had phenomenal songs such as "You Might think" The Cars, "Run Runaway" Slade, "Boys of Summer" Don Henley, "Born in the USA" Bruce, "I Wanna Know What Love Is" Foreigner, "Hold Me Now" Thomspon Twins, "The Neverending Story" Limahl, "Summer of 69" Bryan Adams, "We Belong" Pat Benetar, "Romantic Traffic" The Spoons, ect...
30s,40s and 50s were very good for jazz.70s,80s and 90s were the best for pop and rock. The 90s were also the best for dance music. But if I was asked to pick just one year it would be the 80s because of the great memories I had.
I was very fortunate to be around during the 70's, 80's and 90's music. It breaks my heart to see my kids exposed to this crap they call music nowadays.
Damn...someone needs to build a time machine, I need to get back to this time, it was awesome for me. Just as long as I keep the "What I know nows"....LOL!!!
even in the 90's good music that became classic was made... songs that are still heard today... all the crap that is on the radio today is totally disposable!!! sad... :(
when you drank water from the water hose, everybody's mommma could and would whopp that but,and you better be home before the street lights came on,,,,,,,friday night videos,,,and the voneric brothers wrestleing

I was born in 1998 and the only band on here that I like that ISNT on this list is K.C. and the Sunshine Band. and the only band I dont recognise here is probably Foreigner
Like @BaconBrick1236, I was born in 1996, and i'm 15. And I do enjoy some of todays songs, but the 80's was definitely the time to live in, My Parents would tell me about it. My uncle still has the sports car he bought in the late 80's. A 1988 Porsche 944, It's not the greatest but I plan to buy it off him next year just to have a piece of it, My Ipod is filled with the 80's. and to live in that time I would sell my soul right away. thanks for the mix, it's an wake up call to me :)
@shellfreak1234 These songs are more Billboard type material. Metallica was never on Billboard charts til the 90s from what I remember. But Jump from Van Halen was a definite bigger hit than whoever the hell Split Enz is or Stevie Wonder's crappy song.
Of all the classic rock songs of 1984 and this is what you pick? Metallica's Ride the Lightening, Fade to Black, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Jump, Hot for Teacher and Panama (Van Halen), Legs (ZZ Top), Rock You Like a Hurricane (Scorpions), I Cant Drive 55 (Sammy Hagar), Pride (U2), Talking in Your Sleep (Romantics), I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues (Elton John), Magic and You Might Think (The Cars), Bang Your Head and Cum On Feel the Noise (Quiet Riot). That's music.
Madonna was the best and still is the best... shes coming in 2012!!!!! shes the only artist in history that can move and play in 3 generations... QUEEN OF POP
half of them sucked, but in reality you missed alot of hem and Van Halen not on that list shows these werent the top songs, Van Halen was killer back than and Jump was #1 for many weeks

My father worked at the Airport,he found audio cassete on Toronto flight..Some passinger must forgot her :) I think it was greatest hits pf 1985 i think..Original cassete.. Best present for 6th birthday... I remebet there was Danger Zone - Kenny Big apple Big apple - Kaja Its my life - Talk Etc.. Maybie I miss the year but i remeber this songs for sure... 80 & 90 rules!!
