  • Division Blue Dragons Rule!

  • I think its great, music for getting high, first thing in the morning

  • I'm a fan, but this is terrible, really

  • Beautiful and oh so sad. The last song the Velvet Underground ever made.

  • only poetry.........

  • Touching tribute to MY guitar hero Sterling Morrison. There is also a rehearsal take of this tune from the same night that has made the rounds. It is more uptempo and has Mo's vocals more upfront. Shame the video got cut from the final TV airing.

  • Happy birthday, Sterling.

  • The Last Velvet Underground Song

  • Does anyone know if there's an MP3 of this song somewhere?

  • ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL!

  • I love Maureen Tucker's voice

  • such a powerful and beautiful band.

  • We love Sterling

  • absolutely heartbreaking.

The remaining velvets, in all their out of tune glory. It still comes across as honest as any song in their heyday.

This just may be their saddest song of all.

I want to name my first child Sterling.

  • @kamalmanzukie sterling IS a kick ass name

  • Mo Tucker aged well

  • Vocally, I assume you mean, as she's not in this picture. I would agree. I saw a recent picture of her, Lou and Doug, and, well, she has avoided the boots of time the most.

  • saddest song ever :(

  • thanks for this

    please have you the video?

    thanks again

    all the best

    emmanuel

  • thanks for sharing.

I've always wanted to hear this.

  • thanks sterl

  • Great. They're all falling away now.... Life is great but it also really sux... That's the price we pay for riding the magic carpet with them down thru all these the years. Our whole lives, really. Rock on, baby.

"I have my ship and all her flags are a flying. She is all that I have left and music is her name."

    (Stephen Stills)

  • rip, sterling

  • Thanks for uploading this. I diddn't know it existed until just a few minutes ago and diddn't expect to find it here. :)

  • I was influenced by the music of The Velvet Underground in the 1960s when I was growing up as a musician. Unlike the Beatles, The Velvet Underground represented the darker element of human nature to me, but it did not matter. Lou Reed and company had talent and an awesome sense of humor. I, too, will miss Sterling Morrison. Memory Eternal with Happy Trails.

  • I love how Mo's drums come in right at the end. Reed and Cale may have battled to be the brains of the band, but she was the heart.

  • yes it is ok

moe was the heart of the band

    all the best

    emmanuel

  • Thanks for uploading this. What a gem, I didn't even know it existed. There's always been something magic when these four, now sadly three, got together. At first you might think that it's kinda silly, and it's so simple & yet so touchingy real.

  • A beautiful, touching song...I've been searching for it for years. Thanks for sharing!

  • It was a shock when Sterl finally left us. The velvet's no-more.

  • Your wrong. The Velvet Underground will echo on forever

  • Thanks.

  • Lovely song, but why the buttsecks picture to accompany it?

  • Because it's from the ceremony where the performed it.
