  • HEY, you can get a few more on that train.

  • heaven for molesters ¬¬

  • it would be ok with me as long as i'm sandwiched between two hot chicks.

  • nice place to ass crab ahah

  • They need a train that is as long s the whole underground train rail.

  • Like remote controlled office drones

  • Seems like everybody is wearing a suit at the beginning

  • hey joefoxxjan, this may be the wrong place to ask, but if I were to take a train from Narita airport to Yotsuya, will it be as cramped as this? >< bit worried cuz I'll be travelling alone for the first time.

  • @xxingx

Unlikely, unless it's during crush hour... :-)

  • In Sydney, it's not organised like that, it's just a free-for-all, people try and get on the train while others are getting off. People don't wait for other people to get off like they do in Tokyo.

  • its better to crowd into a train than drive. cause the traffic is jammed throughout the day not just during peak hours. they should expand the air space, like everyone sell their cars and get helicoptors.

  • damn!!! japan either need to start making longer trains or bigger ones!! but its cool that the situation was like easy in easy out!! ppl actually let all the otrs depart the train first before boarding instead of rushing in ^_^b

  • at the end of the vid, you can see some chicks with their backs facing the camera. if they turned around and they are dudes with long hair, wouldn't that be a 'in your face' kind of thing? if they were samara's from the ring, at least they're females duh

  • In Sweden ppl that want to go aboard the train when it arrives hardly dont give any space for ppl that needs to go out. Its always a mess every morning and time consuming for traindrivers that needs to stick to their schedule. In Tokyo they are sure more polite and a lot smarter.

  • @Holylicious

Yes, Japanese commuters are very polite and considerate, except in very rare cases where there's an accident or breakdown, and then the platforms get SO crowded, it's total mayhem and every person for himself. :-)

  • @Holylicious here in new york ,USA ... people will curse you out if you try to get on before the other people get off

  • haha you should see singapore

  • lol everyone is wearing a black suit. Either all of them are some sort of business men or its a dress code for riding the trains

  • love them ill go to japan n august ive already been there before , theyre so nice and so polite love them!!

  • Seriously? Wow... that's worse than here in NYC.

The bit tho about everyone all dressed in black so uniformly- on their ways to being tiny cogs in the great machine... Yeah, seems familiar.

I think I totally get that "Asian Kung Fu Generation" video now after all. The one for the song: "After Dark" with the wings and the bursting birdcage. I think I get it.

Maybe it's a big city thing.

  • lol, not a blonde head in sight

  • why are they singing?

  • HAHAHA LOL YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!

  • at the beginning looks like the matrix, don't ask me why.

  • but u can still see how politeness is really part of every japanese

even tho it was hell of a crowd, everyone was lining up, and the train conductors were tell them to hurry up in politeness

  • You need balls to push?

Since when? Surely a woman can push, and she doesn't have any balls....

  • I wonder how agoraphobic and clastrophobic people deal with the daily life on japan

  • They go hikikomori.

  • "What should i wear today?...black...or black?"

  • next time i see japanese tourists entering a train, i push them in real hard, just to make sure they feel at home!

  • organised chaos

  • I totally agree with you !

  • I got pushed OUT of the train and fell through the space b'twn the platform and train. People don't stop to help, they just stepped over me.

joefoxxjan1, next time go into the train with the camera, then people can get an idea of REALLY how crowded it is...heeheehee.

  • The Tokyo subway is much more crowded than the NYC subway. Yet in New York people fight and curse when it's this crowded.

  • I got admit Japanese people are polite and they have good manners. I didn't see one person cutting line or push other people away...

  • how do you get out when it is your stop if it is so crowded?

  • good question... ive missed my stop a few times in tokyo because of that <_< everyone tries to stick by the doors too for that same reason... its not a fun time

  • Ne pizdi babo

  • Its so nice to see how polite they are. They make a line to enter, then they let all the people who has to come out, until the finish, then they get in. So organized! In mexico City they don't care!!you have to do whatever it takes to get in...people coming in an out at the same time, it doesn't matter if you get their first, everybody will push, kick you whatever :S theres no respect. Sometimes they can kick you out! even if you were not going out in that particualr station...ah, its terrible.

  • You're right, it's pretty orderly getting on & off the trains. They actually have lines painted on the platform where you're supposed to line up. But walking along the platforms and actually inside the train cars can be total mayhem during crush hour....

    Cheers,

    Gary

p.s. I have a good friend from Hermosillo, Sonora...

  • Oh really? I have a friend from Hermosillo too! :D

  • i am from hermosillo....

  • i am from hermosillo...

  • Hi there :)

  • oh yes I hope one day the sobway in Mexico city goes that way, its awful when yo have to go somewhere by subway in rush hours yo at least have to wait 2 or 3 subways just to at least get in

  • @NishiLain Seoul Korea is WORSE! I lived there for one year and not only was it Chaotic, but they are RUDE

  • dam and i thought the MTA system in LA had a problem.....lol

  • pack 'em like sardines

  • omg Agents from the Matrix! Cool

  • Or "Men in Black"! :-) As long as I've lived here, I still haven't adapted to the sea of BLACK on the train platforms....black suits, black bags, black coats, black hair, black eyes, black EVERYTHING.

  • @mbta111 lol XD

  • I bet the people are nicer than the Metro and New York riders. What dirty assholes America has!!!!

  • Yes, it is absolutely amazing how well people get along here. Trust me, with all the millions and millions of commuters every day, Tokyo's subways can get VERY crowded, but after 16 years of living here, I can honestly say I have very rarely EVER seen so much as even tempers flaring. You're right....in the states, there would probably be fistfights galore in such a similar situation.

    Happy New Year !

    Cheers,

    Gary

  • Ginza line is the oldest subway in Japan, even in Asia right?

  • I think you're right. But the good thing about that is, because it IS old, it was constructed very shallow, so there aren't nearly as many stairs to negotiate to get down to the platform, as is the case with the newer subways, like the Oedo Line. :-)

    Happy new Year !

    Cheers,

    Gary

  • Awesome you added this on my bithday!

  • Well...a belated Happy Birthday to you !

    Do I win a prize? :-)

    Happy New Year !!
