  • i can`t believe that u were able to record this! hihih what the heck!

"hey B.Marley say something good to me, this is an emergency, this world goes crazy!"

  • @markdtech At least he could afford a '17 MacBook Pro!!

  • @SilveradoNation01 well I can buy a dell for half the cost of macbook pro and have twice as much power

  • @markdtech i agree

  • first day at college with that thing your screwed, not because your a nerd, but its massive!!

  • its huge!!

  • "This is how it looks inside when you first open it" ---> REALLY?!?! IT DOES????!

  • i love the big cheesy smile on his face when he's opening the box, lol, i'm a gadget freak myself so i'm pretty excited as well when unboxing a new gadget

  • I share your enthusiasm when you get your hands on a newly purchased bit of kit. It is an exciting time.

Ignore the twats saying you are a nerd, you're not. And I guarantee they would give their left nut for one.

I'm hoping to order my Macbook Pro 17 on Friday, my first ever mac, muahaha.

  • @markdtech I do not agree with that :-P

  • @froskus you are so not a nerd :)

im getting one soon and id be freakin excited as well :D

  • I'm thinking of buying the new 17" Macbook Pro.

Please may I ask - why did you sell it?

  • We're glad you're happy - Apple Software Team 2021.

  • look out the window its snowing

  • @SoloReviews

I'd be more interested in the new macbook if I was him!

  • @theCODFATHER1989 =) lol

  • lool truu

  • @SoloReviews ....Where the snow leopard creeps......

  • talk about central heating he's wearing a short sleeve

  • are the 15in and 17in exactly the same thing except for the size?

  • @birdman9564 it looks like they have the same spec. except the 17" has a ExpressCard/34 slot instead of SD card slot.. and also the 17" have one hour longer batterylife.

But grapichs, HDD, RAM; CPU is the same..

  • I saw those at best buy 17" was huge lol so I'm getting the 13".... This guy looks like a skinny version of my psychiatrist Lol!!!!!!

  • @jeremysc123 shall I take that as a compliment ? :-)

  • @jeremysc123 yea thats not something u put as a coment. when u put that u have a psychiatrist, ur just asking to get ripped on. just letn u know. luckily im in a good mood or i would be all over that one

  • I think I might get one in the near future seeing as I already have a $3000 desktop for gaming. They seem really nice and I don't think the 9600mGT would bother me much since my desktop has a GTX280 in it if I really want to game.

  • its Harry Potter!!

  • he he he..... it's not the first time I've heard that one :-P

  • @froskus

ha ha ha ha ha, gald your a good sport.

  • he he..... I am from Norway.... and I only speak english with british accent :-P I have no idea how to speak like you americans do :-P

  • i have some friends in norway i met them on a game . cant wait to get my macbook :)

  • @froskus

kool, what are your specs? mine is>

    >2.8Gz

    >4GB RAM

    >128 SSD

    >Glossy

    >with anti-glare film

  • spoiled brat

  • I am not spoiled. I have worked and earned all the money by myself.

  • ok

FINALLY SOMEONE WHO HAS WORKED FOR IT!

  • wht a waste on 17" u could have made a core i7 975 with gtx 295 199999x more powerful than the mac.

i would understand if it was a 13.3"

  • @imsul

hmmm cause people like him can afford it and you can't? ha ha ha?

  • when you get the mcabooks now they have the SD card reader in it.

  • Not the 17"s, they still have the Express-card slots.

  • dude the 17 inch laptop is like having a monitor to carry around. That's big laptop compared to your dell computer.

  • No, I do not think so. It is actually a very small computer, compared to for example a 17" Asus laptop.

I have no problems carrying it around...

  • I have the 2.8 Ghz 15 inch mac pro

  • i have a 13" and 15" and i looooooove them. Nicest laptops. I have found 1 disadvantage yer. (Besides high price) But congratz.

  • pricey but worth it

  • its fast, thin, but i think this looks ugly.

not something i usually care about, but when it comes to the small black keyboard in the centre of that massive space, it looks silly.

on the 13" macbook pro tho, it looks pretty good, but at that size i dont think so. altho what professional is gonna care, and lets face it, that is your main market at that price range

  • not as bad on 15'' tough

  • I totally agree! It is a fantastic machine! So thin, small, powerfull and nice :-D

    I love my mac :-D

  • got my unibody 17'' antiglare on end of like 2.66 320@5400rpm 4gb ddr3 whole shmeal

  • are you using two cpus to power those monitors or dual display.

  • Hi, I have one videoediting computer (windows) running those two screens on the wall.

  • Jeg la akkurat merke til at du er norsk, må bare si gratulerer med et stk flott maskin - ser ut til at jeg skaffer meg en slik en jeg også :)

  • lol i can see the joy in your face when you take it out of the cardboard box, mac book pro IS SO COOL =D I wish I had one =/

  • the 9400 is def good for a laptop, but of course any videocard for a desktop can rape it like any time...

  • Its worth mentioning that it has a hybrid-SLi solution, with the 9400m (built into the chipset) in powersaver-mode, and a 9600m GT for better performance (but it drraaaainnsss the battery :b)

  • wow i would be really happy if i would get a macbook pro 17 wow nice very nice

  • did that come with an accesory kit and is that the 2.8 ghz

  • It only ships with power supply, manual and restore DVD's.

I bought Apple Remote and DisplayPort-DVI extra.

    I think it's the 2.66 ghz version..

  • hows gaming on that?

  • I do not know. I do not use any of my computers for gameing .

  • its probably pretty good

  • the gaming is like the best casue it has the top graphics card and the processor

  • hey thanks for your reply, would you mind awnsering a "nooby" question for me,

i dont game on computers, so i dont know much about video cards, but apple seems to be very happy with a "Nvidia 9400m" thing in there apple computers, so would that be considered a good video card? also is there better?

sory for a dumb questiion but im kinda new to gaming on computers :)

  • Gaming is pretty good. The 17" comes with a dedicated Geforce 9600m GT with 512 MB. By laptop standards, its high end.

  • thankyou!

what dose anti alasiaing mean on gaming???

  • Anti-aliasing is the process of blurring the pixels around the edges of an image to prevent the "jaggies" or stair stepping effect. It makes textures and objects smoother by colouring around pixels in a similar colour, allowing for less choppy lines.

  • thankyou!

i heard mac dosnt have that. so that would be bad i guess

  • you should shut up u fucking f@ggot azz nerdx

  • ???

  • actually 9600GT is found on laptops £1000 cheaper, so if gaming is all your care about then its better to find a windows laptop.

and while the 9600 is good, there are much faster options available from alienware and other gaming laptop manufacturers.

What the 9600 will do tho, is give you a computer capable of running any game at a decent quality. So unless you want the maximum settings everytime, then its ideal :)

  • I have installed Windows XP, using boot camp :-D

  • i m gettin 15 ich on thurday

  • Cool!

I guess you will be very satisfied, because it is a fantastic computer :-D

  • i think it needs a numeric keypad it has the room

  • No the room is used to the speakers

  • They tried adding one and they said that the keyboards placement worked much better without it and it also gave the speakers a boost.

  • lol some ones jealous.

  • Haha, you crack me up bro! I love the smilee :P hahahaa

  • it doesnt look like it is 17 it looks like its 13 inch or something. is it cool? do u like is so far? so u miss windows at all

  • I have an ADC discount to use and I think I'll be using it on this!

  • Haha, you look so happy! I'm jealous!

  • oh by the way im over 60% norwegian.

  • dude! i want to get a 17" macbook pro. nice video by the way you are so cool!

  • When did the macbook pro 17" unibody come out for sale?.

  • January 2009

  • thanks :)

  • how much is 17" unibody MacBook Pro?

  • you mean the price?

    See Apple's web page.

The 17" model is starting at 2799 USD.

But I had to pay 3452 USD for it here in Norway. Bought it form the Norwegian apple web store. (Apple-stuff are more expensive here in Norway :-( )

  • The same in Holland

  • I have an hp 1.8 ghz laptop. It sucks...wanna trade???? plz!

  • would have sucked if you dropped it!

    Awesome mac !!

  • I am using my MacBook Pro for serious work. Video/Photo editing and more.

I upgraded from my white MacBook to this MacBook Pro because I needed bigger screen / CPU / GPU ++

So, I did not buy this computer just for fun...

  • has it been snowing outside where u live? because it looks like it!

  • yes! I'm living in Norway, and we had a lot of snow in February

  • 0:33 that face is priceless

  • sh... I'm so fu***ing envious

  • Awesome laptop man. Wouldn't it benefit you more if you got a Mac Pro insted cause thats cheaper than this lol.

  • wish i was cool like him

  • he he, I'm not that cool :-p

  • Congratulations man, I hope you enjoy that 17 inch machine to the fullest. I got a 13 inch Macbook unibody and I love it, but that huge screen for HD movies, no need for a flat screen TV =)

  • You do realize that the macbook pro is made for photo/video editing and creating animations, right? My college in Louisiana makes sure we buy the macbook pros for our class, because they have the best performance for that type of use. Yeah, if all your gonna use a labtop for is to write papers for college then get a cheap labtop. plain and simple. People don't get that the reason its very pricey is because of the stuff the macbook pro can dish out. lol :-)

  • don't be jealous.he might have extra money to pay or wants to buy it just to look at.whatever he is gonna do, just tell him enjoy it.

  • One, just be cause the Pro is at the end doesn't mean its the only apple notebook that can do photo/video editing, two, its apple, so its going to be pricey for a full aluminum enclosure and quality components, and three, its his money and he can spoil himself as much as he wants.

  • could you please tell me if there is room to add a vga adapter to the dvi one...if there is i will get that instead of the vga both my large monitors only have vga natively but i use dvis on my current mbp 17 and my pc.

    Peace

    Brian

  • There is One mini displayport on the new MacBook Pro. Here you can insert One displayport - VGA OR one displayport - DVI adapter.

  • yeah i know that, the thing i was asking is wether there is room/screws for attaching a dvi-vga adapter onto the mini display port-dvi adapter

  • oh! I see. Short answer: No, this is not possible.

I thought so, but you see, on a DVI-VGA adapter, there are 4 small pins around the big wide one, but there is no room for theese 4 pins on the DVI contact on the displayport - DVI adapter.

  • Congratulations sir !

  • i am getting the 2.93 Ghz version with 8 gb of ram by june

  • Why so much RAM? Are you in the film industry or something? LOL!!

  • no, but i want it for gaming (x-plane)

  • nice machine!! dont like the shiny screen or the black frame i think the old one looks better in some ways but im sure the insides are way cooler do they do this in an all silver option? I have two apple laptops my fave is the powerbook g4 its all silver compact and hasnt let me down in 5 yrs of everyday use

my other one is the black macbook which is faster and looks ok but Im agoing to get the air next or maybe the one you bought but with a silver screenif they do one by the time i get

  • your pc setup looks EXACTLY like mine. lol and i just got a macbook back in january.

  • I can Has This?

  • great video! you looked so excited opening that box haha..

  • Omg this is like the first video

  • Nice computer, I am thinking of buying one too! Btw, I've heard some complaints about the loose hinge in the mbp 15". How is it with this one?

    Thanks!

  • The hinge is not loose on this one....

  • Cool nerd : )

Can't wait to see it firsthand!
