I don't know. They think there's something in it for a new generation, but it often just falls flat on its face. Once it's been done, it's not going to have the same effect in a remake no matter how much they try to "improve" the villain or the look of the movie.

@kamelion7 Then just don't watch the remake. Retelling a story is one of the oldest art forms around. Who are you to tell people not to do it. The remake is not a replacement. Its a way to keep the story fresh and alive. Its not about someone playing Peter Vincent better. Its about doing it differently. Fright Night is not exactly Casablanca. It could easily be improved. But thats really not the point. The point is just to tell it from a totally different perspective. It could be good.

I was 11 when I saw this movie in Mexico. The roller blade guy scene got stuck in my mind I could not sleep for days. Watching it again it just blew my mind... way more better than those Twilight movies.. Thanks for uploading and bringing back childhood memories
